    Job Details

    • The software developer will be part of a team that develops digital solutions to automate processes for clients by either developing bespoke solutions (i.e. web, mobile, etc.) or using Robotic Process Automation and other relevant technology stack.

    Responsibilities

    • Design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of software programs to solve both internal and external business challenges.
    • Ability to translate clients’ business requirements into digital solutions.
    • Producing clean, efficient codes based on internal coding standards and specification.
    • Work closely with other developers such as the UX designer in building out optimal solutions.
    • Document the work that has been done.
    • Training users on the developed software.
    • Provide technical guidance for clients on the use of developed digital solutions.
    • The Senior Associate will be responsible for the management of day-to-day activities of the project team on the client’s site.

    Required Skills

    • Minimum of 3 -5 years relevant experience
    • Knowledge of preferred coding languages: C#, Angular, Scala, HTML, JavaScript, Python.
    • Solution conceptualization, creativity and innovation.
    • Good oral and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge in software designing, web development, design patterns, web applications, business analysis, agile methodologies, web services, software integration, project management, design patterns and programming.
    • Ability to work in a team and work independently when needed.
    • Practical experience developing solutions that leverage Machine Learning/Artificial Intelligence will be an added advantage.
    • Ability to lead small teams to deliver project objectives.

    Job Overview

    • We are seeking a knowledgeable Application Support Associate to monitor and maintain the efficiency of our software applications. In this role, your duties will be to provide technology support to our clients on solutions we have deployed for them.
    • To ensure success as an application support engineer, you should possess extensive experience in providing application support in a fast-paced environment. Top-Notch application support engineers distinguish themselves by being proactive in providing application support.

    Responsibilities

    • Providing software application support under the supervision of the Senior Engineer.
    • Performing analyses on software application functionality and suggesting improvements based on client feedback.
    • Consulting with the software development team, internal users, and clients to improve application performance.
    • Establishing the root causes of application errors and escalating serious concerns to the Senior Engineer.
    • Keeping a record of configuration changes and scheduling application updates.
    • Documenting processes and monitoring application performance metrics.
    • Providing front-end support to clients and colleagues in other departments.
    • Logging the queries of clients and internal technical team members.
    • Analysis of call logs in order to discover any underlying issues or trends.
    • Plan and implement upgrades needed to maintain service levels.

    Requirements

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or similar.
    • Minimum of 2 years cognate experience in managing system infrastructures (e.g. Linux and Windows servers).
    • Demonstrable experience as an application support engineer in a related field.   
    • Knowledge of database management in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle is required
    • Strong knowledge of network topology across WAN, LAN
    • Good understanding of data transfer format (JSON, XML)
    • Knowledge of front-end and back-end programming languages, such as C#, Angular and JavaScript, Hadoop big data stack is a plus.
