    Employee Development & Engagement Lead

    Department: Corporate Services & Development
    Job Type: Permanent

    Responsibilities

    • The Employee Development & Engagement Lead will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive learning and employee engagement interventions in order to maintain a motivated and skilled workforce that effectively meet the needs of Main One.

    Specific Responsibilities include:
    Employee Development:

    • Develop the company’s learning
    • Identify learning and development (L&D) needs company wide, through job analysis, performance appraisals and regular consultation with business
    • Develop the company-wide curriculum and annual training plan
    • Manage a companywide knowledge sharing system.
    • Work with stakeholders (internal & external) to design and implement bespoke training programs
    • Design training materials for in-house courses and manage the delivery of the courses.
    • Ensure that statutory training requirements are met.
    • Manage ITF submissions & reimbursement processing
    • Manage costs of planned programs keeping them within the budget.
    • Assess the return on investment of all training or development
    • Conduct post training evaluation on employees (upon completion of course) and their line managers.
    • Develop effective induction
    • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of developments in L&D by reading relevant journals, taking relevant courses etc.

    Employee Engagement:

    • Develop and implement an annual employee engagement plan.
    • Manage employee relations and welfare
    • HMO Management
    • HR Connect/stay interviews management
    • Annual Employee Satisfaction Survey management
    • Culture management- Value Groups engagement, Town hall meetings, Mid & Year End Events, etc,
    • Exit & Alumni Management.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of Social Science or Humanities.
    • At least 7 years’ experience as a Human Resources generalist with at a minimum of 4 years of learning & development experience.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

    Data Center Operations Technician

    Location: Data Center Lekki, Lagos
    Job Type: Permanent
    Department: DC & Capital Projects

    Responsibilities
    The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following tasks:

    • Perform daily facilities inspections and provide report on conditions affecting the operations.
    • Monitor and supervise non-critical Electro-Mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance activities
    • Carry out electrical lighting fittings replacement (internal and external perimeter) as operations demands.
    • Power provisioning for non-collo customers related power request within the DC.
    • Oversee and support vendors and contractor’s maintenance activities within the DC on all non-critical infrastructures.
    • Carry out daily routine checks on DG fuel line and ensure day tanks diesel replenishing.
    • Carry out diesel delivery and ensure all tests conducted meet the requirement/standard of MainOne.
    • Troubleshooting and resolution of Plumbing related faults within the facility including the water treatment plant
    • Troubleshooting and resolution of faults related to the intrusion detection system (Electric fence).
    • Carry out other assigned tasks within the scope of the job position and ensure closure of such task in record time.
    • Support any after-hours building needs and activities as required.
    • Respond to emergencies.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • National Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or in any relevant discipline
    • Minimum of 2 years working experience required
    • Organize and manage all facility housekeeping (Cleaning of offices and critical environments) through a janitorial service vendor/domestic support staff.
    • Implement and ensure proper power cabling tagging and management within the facility.
    • Basic knowledge of comfort cooling system, installation, and maintenance.
    • Basic knowledge of plumbing, new installations, and repairs.
    • Knowledge in electrical installations.
    • Knowledge in cable running and termination.
    • Ability to support and maintain Tier III data center non-critical infrastructure, perimeter lightings, water treatment plant.
    • Basic knowledge of electrical control circuit wiring and diagrams.
    • Ability to perform periodic maintenance of comfort cooling, air conditioning unit within the DC.
    • Ability to carry out daily routine checks on all non-critical electro-mechanical infrastructure within the campus.

    Chief Security Officer

    Department: DC & Capital Projects
    Job Type: Permanent

    Responsibilities

    • The Chief Security Officer will be responsible for the overall coordination of security activities and physical security strategies of the entire organisation.

    Key responsibilities also include:

    • Enforce compliance with all the organisation’s security policies and procedures.
    • Supervise all security personnel within the organisation, ensuring routine activities are carried out as specified and approved.
    • Schedule the work and duties of individual security officers including but not limited to patrols, leave, duty roaster etc.
    • Approve all material movement in and out of the premises.
    • Ensure constant inspection of all entry and exit registers, ensuring daily logs of all activities around the company.
    • Serve as the first point of call for all security incidence escalation within the organisation. 
    • Ensure safe and security of guests and employees within the building. 
    • Work with HSE officer in areas of fire drill and emergencies, ensuring proper accountability of all employees within the building. 
    • Ensure physical safety and environmental safety of all MainOne building and working environment, escalating any potential hazard to the HSE officer. 
    • Generate appropriate security reports on all incidences for management use. 
    • Provide leadership, guidance and support to all internal/external security staff. 
    • Develop policies and procedures for all areas of security incidences such as loss and fraud prevention etc. 
    • Develop procedures to ensure physical safety of employees and visitors.
    • Oversea and liaise with security services provider including the Nigerian Police.
    • Liaise with the commissioner of Police/DPO in case of any security incidence etc.
    • Maintain relationship with local, state and federal law enforcement and other related government agencies.
    • Manage the development and implementation of global security policy, standards, guidelines and procedures within MainOne group.
    • Ensure company-wide compliance with security policies, procedures, recommending sanctions for breaches etc.
    • Create workplace awareness and prevention programs.
    • Ensure all electronic surveillance system are up to date and in proper working shape, devising means of proper storage and security of all camera footage.
    • Prioritize security initiatives as may be recommended by senior management 
    • Investigate security breaches, providing fact finding and incident reports to the senior management.
    • Implement disciplinary procedures for all security staff of MainData, recommending replacement or dismissal of hired security operative.
    • Constantly conducting audit to find holes in security processes and recommending reviews as may be necessary. 

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • HND / B.Sc qualification or equivalent with at least 8 years work experience as a security personnel.
    • Good oral and written communication skills
    • Skilled in the use of computer (MS Word, Email) 
    • Report writing skills
    • Ability to coordinate other security operatives (armed or otherwise) 
    • People management skills

    Data Center Structured Cabling Engineer

    Location: Lekki, Lagos
    Department: DC & Capital Projects
    Job Type: Permanent

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure scalable structured cabling solutions throughout the data center space according TIA942 standard for both internal projects and customer related project
    • Provide up-to-date documentation of Optic Fibre infrastructure in the network.
    • Plan and design the demarc points locations for customer fibre connection.
    • Cross-check and ensure up-to date drawing of the MDX-i fibre network.
    • Supervise the activities of the MDX-I fibre network maintenance contractor and ensure stipulated SLAs with customers are met.
    • Conduct surveys for fibre last mile builds.
    • Prepare project timelines, track budgets and provide detailed weekly status reports.
    • Direct emergency restoration and mitigation activities required for the MDX-I network, which include fiber optic cut and other fibre failure
    • Validate and proof cabling deliverables and executable design documentation.
    • Supervise and manage contractors on site for cable run activities.

    Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

    • HND / First Degree in any Engineering related field
    • Minimum of 3 years experience.
    • Knowledge & experience with the installation and termination of cables
    • A background in structured cabling 
    • Proficiency in MS Project and visio.
