    Director of Operations

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    A Director of Operations is responsible for the effective operational management of the hotel, ensure Heads of Department achieve and exceed their revenue and Guest satisfaction targets.

    What will I be doing?

    As Director of Operations, you will be responsible for the effective operational management of the hotel, ensure Heads of Department achieve and exceed their revenue and Guest satisfaction targets. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

    • Work in conjunction with the General Manager to actively manage key property issues (including capital projects; customer service; refurbishment)

    • Assist the development of meaningful, achievable hotel budgets and other short and long term hotel strategic goals

    • Provide effective leadership to the hotel management team and team members to ensure targets are met and exceeded

    • Respond to audits that are completed by the company to ensure continual improvement is achieved

    • Plan, direct and coordinate the service delivery of all operational departments in order to meet and exceed guest expectations

    • Comply and exceed hotel and company Service Standards

    • Ensure that costs are controlled throughout the operational departments and results are analysed regularly to highlight problem areas and take appropriate action

    • Manage and develop the Heads of Department to ensure career progression and effective succession planning within the hotel and company

    • Seek and respond to guest feedback in order to achieve positive outcomes and high levels of customer satisfaction

    • Hold regular briefings and communication meetings with the HOD team

    • Participate in corporate activities and meetings as requested.

    • Assist in the administration of succession planning.

    • Participate and maintain active community relations.

    • Attend industry meetings and participates in industry organizations

    What are we looking for?

    • A degree or diploma in Hotel Management or equivalent

    • Strong commercial acumen, preferably with experience in Food and Beverage or Rooms Management

    Squash instructor

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    A Squash Instructor is responsible for assisting and advising on exercise technique, overall health, and diet to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience.
    What will I be doing?

    • Conduct Squash clinics scheduled by the Recreation Manager
    • Take reservations and book guests for lesson
    • Conducts personal coaching sessions on schedule
    • Prepare tennis and squash booking sheets
    • Post all bookings on the courts on a daily basis
    • Ensure the Squash courts and environs are clean, tidy and presentable to guests all times
    • Conduct checks on all the courts and reports faults to engineering
    • Ensure guests abide by the courts booking guidelines
    • Ensure guests compliance to courts rules and regulations
    • Ensure members using the courts are in good standing
    • Ensure appropriate payment by members’ guests and walk-ins
    • Attend to guests needs on the courts
    • Ensure payments for coaching and issues receipts as appropriate
    • String rackets for guests and the department’s use on demand
    • Inform the Recreation Manager of all requirements for Squash
    • Organize and officiate Squash tournaments as scheduled by the Recreation Manager
    • Suggest new Squash program for implementation
    • Keep the Squash store in good order
    • Check the Squash courts and reports faults to engineering
    • Perform other tasks as directed by the Supervisor or Recreation Manager.

    • Personal training qualification or similar

    • First aid and CPR qualified
    • Relevant, current, and valid qualifications
    • Ability to consistently conduct oneself in a professional and helpful manner
    • Ability to encourage and motivate
    • Previous experience in a similar role

    Fitness Instructor

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    A Fitness Instructor is responsible for conducting fitness programs and assessments to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while promoting the facilities and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

    What will I be doing?

    As a Fitness Instructor, you are responsible for conducting fitness programs and assessments to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience. A Fitness Instructor will also be required to schedule adequate staff coverage. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

    • Carry out fitness assessments on members as required

    • Conduct fitness programmes and inductions

    • Understand and advise members and guests on the correct usage of gym equipment

    • Ensure adequate coverage of the pool, gym and reception

    • Carry out regular pool tests

    • Maintain cleanliness of reception, changing rooms, pool side and gym facilities

    • Adhere to all health and safety regulations

    • Promote the facilities to hotel residents and perspective members
