    Our Client is seeking to hire a Managing Editor for a First-Class Business and Management Journal.

    Responsibilities

    • Approve and edit editorial content
    • Coordinate the distribution policy of the journal in bookshops, hotels, airlines, individual and corporate subscriptions.
    • Manage the online distribution of the journal
    • Coordinate the advertisement sales team to ensure sufficient procurement of adverts from corporate organization, in time, develop the distribution channel
    • Coordinate editorial publications and meetings
    • Create and employ various marketing strategies in order to get more people to read the published content.

    Requirements

    SUMMARY OF JOB FUNCTION

    Job involves providing training services (In-Plant and In-House) for skilled and unskilled individuals in the area of Industrial Automation, Instrumentation and process control, via the use of modern training aids, software, simulators and hands-on equipment, consultancy services and control engineering services to clients in the FMCG, Oil and Gas industries,.

    Other Responsibilities

    • Developing/updating new instrumentation and process control courses
    • Implementation of calibration training and projects
    • Sourcing for instrumentation and process control projects e.g. procurements, installation, repair, upgrades etc.
    • Provide Instrumentation design and automation support for new projects for clients in the FMCG, Oil and Gas Industries.
    • Planning and executing project assignments like control panel building, installation, configuration and programming of controller (soft starters, VFDs, PLCs, DCS)
    • Lead research and development team in Automation, Instrumentation and Control.
    • Building, installing automation & process trainers as well as software to facilitate training programmes
    • The Automation/Instrumentation Specialist should possess the following qualifications:
    • Automation Lead will have over 3 years’ skill and competences in Industrial Automation, Instrumentation, Process Control Engineering and must have handled some Engineering Projects.
    • B.Sc. /B.Eng. /B.Tech and MSc in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics Engineering or related fields.
    • About a year hands-on training and facilitation experience/ presentation experience.
    • Ability to design world-class training materials and trainers.
    • Must be skilled in practical/ field experience with direct applications of relevant software.
    • Minimum of 35 years’ old.
    • Proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting(Siemens, Allen brandley etc)

    • Facilitate other programs as may be assigned

    Job Skills

    • Experience with AC+DC drives, relay logic, PLC troubleshooting and wiring terminations. 
    • Experience with circuit analysis and preventative maintenance techniques. 
    • Information technology skill
    • Fast learner in non-skilled areas
    • Computer appreciation - Ms Word, power-point, excel and Ms-Visio

    Responsibilities

    • The appointee will be responsible for the process of putting out a publication. 
    • Proofreading content to writing a budget.
    • Source for Business and management articles from universities, research institutions both locally and abroad.
    • He will choose which article to use for each journal based on the developed content plan
    • Responsible for ensuring editorial quality by carefully and meticulous proof reading.
    • He would; liaise with the printers to ensure timely and cost effective production of the quarterly business and management journal

    Requirement 

    • University Degree
