    SMC End of Round Data Collectors Supervisor

    Job Description

    The EoR evaluation aims to assess SMC coverage and adherence of CDDs to treatment protocol immediately after the end of Cycle 4 mass drug administration. The findings will be analysed and any ward scoring less than 80% will be targeted for corrective measures in their area of poor performance for improvement in subsequent rounds.

    The Consultant will oversee the data collectors and be responsible for resolving any technical issues on the field, conduct daily validation of the records collected to ensure accuracy, completeness and validity of the data during the End of round programmatic assessment. The data collectors LGA Supervisor will be trained on the assessment protocol and electronic data collection tool and would monitor the field work within the approved number of days.

    Specific Responsibilities

    • The data collectors LGA Supervisor will be responsible for resolving technical issue while in the field administering the questionnaire at the household level according to the data collection protocol.

    • S/he will establish the community mobilization, engagement, awareness, and linkage where exercise is mapped.

    • Any other task assigned by the supervisor.

    Qualifications

    • Post NYSC, BSc. or HND from a recognized university, or related analytical courses is required. A master degree is an added advantage.

    • At least 3 years experience in conducting public health research, particularly data analysis and preparation of abstracts and proposals.

    • Experience with the use of Kobo collect/Survey CTO is required.

    • High analytical and decision making skills is desirable.

    • Previous experience designing MIS for a health facility or community-based intervention is desirable.

    • Excellent report writing, facilitation and communication skills.

    • Experience in the use of modern technology in research – use of phone for data collection.

    • Experience with implementation of SMC is an added advantage.

    • Ability to speak local language (Hausa etc) is an added advantage

    • Familiarity with and respect for the tradition and culture of the locality

    • Ability to give attention to details.

    • Must NOT be currently engaged as an SMC personnel in whatever capacity (National, State, LGA, HFW, CHW, TA or LM)

    SMC End of Round Data Analyst

    Job Description

    The Data Analyst, who will support the Lead consultant will be required to collate and analyze data submitted by data collectors from all the sampled LGAs and Households. S/He will work with the Lead Consultant and DEC supervisors in ensuring the data harnessed in databases, meet quality standard, analyzed, reported and used for programme improvement.

    Specific Responsibilities

    • S/He shall support sample size identification according to the protocol which will cover LGAs, wards and households to be included in the evaluation.

    • S/He will participate in state level entry and planning meetings where necessary

    • The Consultant will be responsible for coordinating the data collectors during the administration of the questionnaires at household level according to the data collection protocol to ensure that generated data meet minimum required standards and that they are captured in appropriate databases.

    • S/He will participate in field work where necessary.

    • S/He will prepare a detailed analysis of data collected and present it using tables, graphs and charts and prepare a detailed EoR technical report for the operational process, as well as the findings following data analysis.

    • Prepare an activity report for the entire EoR activity.

    • Carry out other duties assigned by Senior Technical Manager.

    Qualifications

    • M.B.B.S, BSc. or HND in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or Economics or related analytical courses is required. A master degree in a relevant field such as Community Medicine, Public Health, Health Economics or Biostatistics is an added advantage.

    • At least 5 years experience in conducting public health research, particularly data analysis and preparation of abstracts and proposals.

    • High analytical and decision making skills is desirable.

    • Previous experience designing MIS for a health facility or community-based intervention is desirable.

    • Experience with the use of Kobo collect/Survey CTO, Tableau/Power BI, SPSS/STATA and programmable software like MySQL is a required

    • Experience with GIS Mapping.

    • Excellent report writing, facilitation and communication skills.

    • Experience in the use of modern technology in research – use of phone for data collection.

    SMC End of Round Lead Consultant

    Job Description

    The Consultant will be the lead research personnel that will steer the entire 2021 SMC End of Round Programmatic Assessment. H/She oversee the entire research team from engagement with the state, training of data collectors, data collection, analysis and interpretation for the End of Round (EoR) programmatic assessment. H/She will train data collectors and oversee data collection process while other personnel will carry out the actual data collection using an electronic platform.

    The EoR evaluation will be conducted in Katsina state where SMC is being implemented in 4 cycles. The process will involve  identification,  selection  and  training  of  supervisors  at  a  ToT  and  subsequently,  data collectors in the states.  The aim of the EoR evaluation is to assess SMC coverage and adherence of CDDs to treatment protocol immediately at end of each cycle’s treatment. The findings will be analyzed and any ward scoring less than 80% will be targeted for corrective measures in their area of poor performance for improvement in the subsequent round.

    Global Risk and Quality Manager

    MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

    Build an appropriate risk culture at MSH by leading, designing, developing, and implementing global risk management policies and procedures to identify, control, and mitigate risk to the organization.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Enterprise Risk and Compliance Management  (65%)

    • Develop company-wide risk management strategies in conjunction with senior leadership.
    • Design and implement policies, procedures, and tools to track, minimize and control risks.
    • Manage a system for tracking risks to include regular reporting to leadership team, managers, and stakeholders.
    • Evaluate current risk strategies in order to identify potential weaknesses and areas for improvement.
    • Work with project managers to help assess and gauge the risks attached to business projects at all levels, to measure their feasibility.
    • Develop communications and provide training across MSH to create and improve a working culture of risk-awareness and avoidance.
    • In collaboration with the Administrative Manager, ensure that the corporate liability insurance is managed appropriately.
    • Maintain, update and disseminate MSH’s Quarterly Compliance Certification and provide quarterly reports to the leadership team and program delivery business unit regarding the Quarterly Compliance Certification results.
    • Manage the annual risk assessment process for MSH programs and MSH Home Office Business Units and disseminate results organization-wide.  
    • Coordinate with internal audit to conduct testing of internal controls on systems and processes as needed.
    • Provide guidance on emerging risk and compliance concerns that may affect MSH globally, such as GDPR, and other data privacy laws, and propose solutions.

    Quality Management (35%)

    • Conduct management meetings with business process owners and leadership team to review key process of the Quality Management System and identify areas of improvement.
    • Provide feedback to the leadership team on the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS).
    • Plan and arrange internal audits of the QMS to ensure process plans are maintained and up to date.
    • Distribute internal audit reports and track open issues through successful completion.
    • Communicate with the ISO certification body and other external parties for audits, reports, and corrective action correspondence.
    • Promote awareness of the quality management system to all employees

    EDUCATION

    Required:

    • Bachelor’s Degree

    Preferred: 

    • Master’s Degree
    •  CRMP preferred

    KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

    • Demonstrated experience designing and managing fraud and risk mitigation programs, particularly in the international development assistance area
    • Experience with advancing engagement and change management, developing communications and training, leading implementations
    • Knowledge of quality management systems
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • High-level analytical skills
