    Purchase Manager

    Industry: Manufacturing - Steel

    Location: Issele Azagba, Delta State

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage the daily operations of the Purchase Department
    • Consult with user department to develop a material specification
    • Initiate bid/quote processes for services and suppliers.
    • Ensure accurate documentation and posting of procurement transactions
    • Prepare enquiries for requisitions sent from the project sites and other departments that require foreign purchase.
    • Negotiate with vendors to get the best possible discount on the purchase while maintaining the required standard
    • Identifies and reports deficiencies or defects and monitor their resolution or contractual implications
    • Perform bid analysis and make recommendations regarding purchases.
    • Ensure purchase is in adherence to the approved vendors list provided
    • Update the procurement spreadsheet/tracker to capture the current procurement stage for materials been purchased.
    • Ensure the procurement plan is strictly adhered to, in order to ensure materials, arrive on site as at when required.
    • Provide feedback on the overall procurement status of the project materials to the project manager, top management and client on a regular basis.
    • Organize and coordinate the attendance of factory acceptance test by the client, contractor and TPI.
    • Follow up on receipt of the material.

    Requirements;

    • A good first Degree in Purchasing and Supply or any related course. Alternatively, an accounting degree or an engineering degree would be preferred.
    • Minimum of Five Years’ Experience in the steel or cement manufacturing industry
    • A relevant professional certification is a MUST
    • Good Knowledge in the use of Microsoft Excel, SAP or ERP

    Export Officer

    Job Title: Export Officer

    Industry: FMCG – Flexible Packaging

    Location: Sagamu, Ogun State

    Our client, a leading flexible packaging manufacturer, is in need of an Export Officer responsible for handling Export, Legalities, Banking, Logistics and related documentation.

    Responsibilities

    • Planning and execution of dispatch of materials as per its readiness in the plant.
    • Handle all Statutory, procedural and commercial issues re Exports
    • Dealing with Banks, Customs and other regulatory bodies
    • Checking Export documents and instruments
    • Liaise with Clearing Agents, Customs and Receiving functions
    • Ensure proper documentation from both FFAPL and Buyer sides, as well as, Bank & Statutory documents as LC, NXP, CCI etc.
    • Able to negotiate best freight rates, liaising with custom authority and custom clearance of imported material and ensuring compliance to all government regulations and guidelines
    • Coordinate closely with the shipping lines/agents for scheduling and booking shipments to ensure smooth and timely cargo delivery.
    • Track electronically the status of all the shipments and material issued for shipment
    • Day to day update of database related to Export shipments 
    • Carry out day to day activities of Export and communicate with service providers.
    • Liaise with Marketing and Production teams for planning, scheduling and delivery of goods and documents in an appropriate manner
    • Coordination with concerned Statutory and other agencies timely inspection and certification
    • Should apply the expertise in foreign trade policy and trade agreements procedures to avail the full benefit for exports
    • Monitor Duty Drawback benefits and their receipt in compliance with customs law and regulations.
    • Liaise with Export Logistics end-to-end
    • Organize the outward transport arrangements for all goods
    • Check reloading, unloading and checking of goods
    • Check reloading, unloading, movement of goods and vehicles
    • Deal with Transporters, Drivers, Loaders and other logistics staff on the ground and in the office
    • Liaise with other teams for efficient co-ordination in logistics

    Requirements

    • Minimum of HND qualification.
    • 3 - 4 years of working experience in the FMCG industry.
    • Knowledge of Import/ export documentation, shipment processes and procedures
    • Knowledge of customs, VAT, foreign trade policies & procedures
    • Knowledge of Accounting, Banking, Insurance and Taxation
    • Able to generate creative/innovative solutions in work solutions
    • Ability to demonstrate customer service orientation both for external and internal customers

    Export Manager

    Industry: Manufacturing – Steel

    Location: Issele Azagba, Delta State

    Responsibilities:

    • Negotiate and manage export carrier contracts, trucking, full container loads, LCL and airfreight.
    • Manage and maintain the record keeping requirements of all import/export documentation in compliance with CBP and other government agencies.
    • Streamline logistics management by designing, developing and programming web-base applications for preparing shipping quotes and managing export documents.
    • Full air and ocean (FCL and LCL) export operations by using available software.
    • Enforce mandatory Nigerian customs regulations.
    • Monitor legal documents pertaining to all regulations.
    • Draft and implement office related procedures
    • Execute export and customs documentation as well as submissions for government approval.
    • Review and approve import documentation for adherence to payment terms and all export rules and regulations.

    • Establish Incoterms for shipments that comply with transfer of ownership and liability agreements between shipper and consignee.

    • Facilitating audits, training employees and ensuring compliance with security regulations.
    • Develop and administer quality procedures and internal standard practices in support of component testing and manufacturing.
    • Evaluate improvements of existing procedures and working environments to advance service level to the customer and profitability of the organization.
    • Maintain key customer information including billing and shipment history

    Requirements;

    • B.Sc. degree
    • At least 5 years of experience as Export Manager in the steel or cement manufacturing industry
    • Should be able to speak and understand French
    • Must have experience handling Cameroun and Ghana

    Assistant Manager – Purchase

    Our client, a leading flexible packaging manufacturer, is in need of an adept Assistant Manager that will assist and provide support to the Purchase Manager and the department as a whole for the Purchase and procurement of materials and services in a cost-effective and time-bound manner.

    Responsibilities

    • Should have a good understanding of Purchase procedure (P2P) -including PR, RFQ, Comparative, PO, Invoice processing
    • Handling purchase and supply of packing materials i.e., pallets, plywood, LDPE films, bubble films etc.
    • Must have a strong and proven supplier base for the packing materials
    • Handling sourcing of LDPE, PP materials
    • Demonstrates sound knowledge of local and upcountry transporters with a strong network of reliable transports 
    • Receives PR/Indents from the user, evaluate.
    • Follow up on the RFQ and offer collection from the local market
    • Obtain Technical closure from respective users
    • Prepare Comparative statements, approvals and Purchase orders and service contracts.
    • Market survey and intelligence reports
    • Perform jobs/tasks assigned by Purchase manager to achieve common goal/objective of the organization
    • Monitor pending PO/PR  
    • Monthly reconciliation of the PR/PO
    • Submission of relevant documents i.e. PO, MRN, Invoice to finance

    Requirements

    • HND/B.Sc. in Mechanical or material science or any other related field from a reputed institute
    • Minimum of 8 years working experience, preferably from food processing, FMCG, packaging
    • Techno commercial knowledge will be plus
    • Good knowledge of materials
    • Conversant with packing material, pallets, plywood, LDPE films as well logistics etc.

    Quality Control Executive

    Responsibilities:

    • Gaining an understanding of client's needs and requirements and communicating them and the quality standards to the production teams.
    • Offering technical support to sales team and customers and also to conduct product trials at customer’s place as per business requirement.
    • Ensuring required number of various quality tests to ensure product quality is as per set standards and specifications.
    • Detailed root cause analysis for any product variation and customer complaints and submission of same report to management
    • Ensuring high quality standards and to support production and sales operations by providing them various quality input reports to improve product quality and consistency
