    Internal Audit Manager

    Job Summary

    • As Internal Audit Manager, your role will be to monitor the internal audit system of the organization and improve our operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach to the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Implement best audit and business practices in line with Statements of Auditing Standard (SAS)
    • Perform audit work, including plan preparation, workpapers, finding, and associated reports; verifies the accuracy of financial records as they pertain to assets, liabilities, receipts, expenditures, and related transactions.
    • Development and implement the annual Internal Audit plan.
    • Identify and reduce all business and financial risks through effective implementation and monitoring of controls.
    • Oversee risk-based audits covering operational and financial processes.
    • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls over key risks, identifying significant exposures, analyzing transactions and information, and detecting changes in key risks and/or control effectiveness. Develops appropriate recommendations to address exposures.
    • Examine documentation including reports, statements, records and memos to gather information.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 10 years internal audit experience with at least 5 years' experience in the Capital Market.
    • BSc in Accounting/Business Administration or any other discipline.
    • Professional Qualifications such as ICAN or ACCA is required.

    Job Summary

    • As a sales trader in Norrenberger Securities Limited, you will play an instrumental role in the development of revenue-driven business relationships with Institutional and Retail clients.

    Responsibilities

    • Research and identify new leads, business relationships, and ongoing market opportunities.

    Senior Investment Banking Associate

    Job Summary

    • The Senior Associate will be responsible for deal origination and client relationship management to drive profitability, meet performance targets and increase shareholders’ value.

    Responsibilities

    • Actively source/originate Investment Banking (IB) transactions, clients, projects, and mandates. Business development within the array of M&A (buy & sell side), DCM & ECM capital raise, and other segments of the IB portfolio.
    • Work with the deals execution Team in developing proposals, pricing mandates, and contracts with appropriate areas within Advisory Services, Group sales, and asset management Sales Teams.

    Head, Business Development (Stockbroking)

    Job Summary

    • As Head Business Development, you will play a critical role in generating new business ideas and devise strategies for acquiring new clients. You will also lead the effective management of business relationships between the company and its clients to ensure excellent service deliver.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for originating investment ideas from the listed and unlisted universe for internal and external clients.
    • Generate income and meet income target in line with the set-target determined at the beginning of an appraisal period.
    • Aggressive marketing of the company’s products and services.
    • Effectively profile prospects/clients, analyze their financial risk appetite, needs and goals for investing and provide guidance to them as regards their investments.

    Treasury Operations Officer

    Job Summary

    • As Treasury Operations Officer, you will be responsible for supporting the Finance & Operations team by managing the Treasury back-office settlement operations to achieve optimal business outcomes.

    Responsibilities

    • Execution of all Funds/Institutional Client’s transactions regarding placements and Liquidations in the Interbank Market by preparing instructions to transferring counterparty/receiving counterparty and uploading payments on the Bank payment platform
    • Prompt execution and settlement of all securities Trades i.e. FGN Bonds, FGN TBills, Eurobonds via the Custodian.
    • Timely recording of daily transactions i.e. Liquidations and investment, Securities purchase/sale, across all portfolios on the Maturities Blotter and posting of same on the portfolio management system.
    • Preparation of necessary reports as it relates to interbank settlement i.e. FI Database and ensure same is sent to internal stakeholders daily.
    • Daily call over of transactions initiated to ensure that all instructions initiated are executed.
    • Reconciliation of all outstanding transactions and SEC/Custodian reports.
    • Ensure retrieval of contract notes from counterparties on all completed transactions and accuracy of the parameters contained therein are as agreed
    • Ensure that transactions are processed in strict adherence to agreed SLAs
    • Provide support to the working capital and disbursement team and ensure daily posting/call over of transactions

    Requirements

    • Minimum 4 years Treasury Operations preferably with a financial services provider in the Capital Market
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
    • Relevant professional certification is an added advantage e.g., ACCA, CFA etc

    Chief Risk Officer

    Job Summary

    • The Chief Risk Officer will provide oversight to the Enterprise-wide risk management (ERM) strategy and framework that effectively translates the risk appetite framework into informed decision-making practices that support Norrenberger’s unique business model and strategic plan.
    • He or she will bring strong technical expertise coupled with leadership and excellent stakeholder skills.

    Responsibilities

    • Establish and maintain a risk awareness culture and provide appropriate opportunities for organizational learning, including lessons learned from previous problems, on-going communication, training and development.
    • Monitor and report on adherence to the organizations risk framework / policies to the Board.
    • Act as the point of contact between the organization and Regulators/investors with reference to risk management issues.
    • Build a risk monitoring system complying with Basel I & Basel II & Basel III requirements for assessing, reviewing and mitigating risk factors.
    • Establish a Credit Rating system for the Group as well as develop and implement a Credit Risk Management policy for the Group Credit Department
    • Oversee the Risk Management department in delivering high quality and professional service to the Group and the clients in the field of risk management.
    • Recommend and maintain proper approval processes for all transaction types to ensure proper risk control.
    • Ensure that classified loans are reported and properly administered in the system of the Group.
    • Establish procedures and execute Profitability and Risk analysis for the Group frequently.
    • Chairing Portfolio Management and Risk and Compliance Committees
    • Develop predictive dynamic monitoring procedures/systems for the Risk Management Department

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 12 years’ experience in Enterprise Risk Management with at least 4 years’ risk management experience in a SEC regulated entity and at least 3 years in a management role
    • Minimum of a master’s degree or MBA in any related discipline.

    Halal Investment Sales Analyst

    Job Summary

    • As a Halal Investment Analyst, you will identify and create new businesses in volume and value according to set target, sell Norrenberger products Investment products with major focus on driving existing ethical investment products while assisting the HID team to develop new products.

    Job Summary

    • As Head Research, you will be responsible for driving the Group’s research and economic analysis activities, conducting sector and country studies as well as preparing the Group’s research reports for internal and external stakeholders including clients.

    • Perform active surveillance, and extensive analysis of investment portfolios to identify trends, and make recommendations to both internal teams, and the company’s clientele with the aim of driving their effective decision-making in optimizing the performance of said portfolios.
    • Support capacity development program for Junior Analysts and ensure the development of their knowledge and technical competence enabling to become top analysts in their respective coverage area.
    • Collaborate with top leadership, aiding in individualized strategy formulation for different projects and initiatives.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 8 years’ experience in the financial services industry across Equity, Fixed Income and Macroeconomic Research.
    • Strong knowledge of the capital market space
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across functions and levels of seniority.
    • Master’s Degree in a related field

    Job Summary

    • The VP of Investment Banking will be responsible for driving profitability and meeting performance targets by developing the relationships, tactics, and business plans necessary to realize revenue, earnings growth, and increase shareholders’ value.

    Responsibilities

    • Actively source/originate Investment Banking (IB) transactions, clients, projects, and mandates.
