    HR Recruitment & On-Boarding Specialist

    The Role

    • The Recruitment/On-boarding Specialist reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, will be responsible for identifying hiring needs, managing and developing a proficient recruitment and on-boarding process. The incumbent will work closely with the hospital’s senior leadership, hiring managers, and the HRM to develop candidate profiles and job descriptions.
    • The Recruitment/On-boarding Specialist will convey position specifications to candidates and newly hired employee, support the HR Manager in developing on-boarding procedures, and facilitate new hires in accordance to organization acumen and departmental Standard Operating Procedures.
    • Duties include, effectively sourcing, screening and selecting candidates; ensuring hiring manager’s needs are met. The incumbent will facilitate and lead Cedarcrest Hospital’s New Hire Orientation and additional training procedures for new hires. Lastly the incumbent will be part of the employee’s life cycle, assisting in the development and administration of training and professional development.

    Responsibilities

    • Work closely with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and acquire highly skilled and qualified talent.
    • Creates and processes job requisitions.
    • Post positions and source candidates via traditional and non-traditional methods including social media and various position or area-specific job posting websites and job boards.
    • Conduct initial phone screenings and provide summary reports to hiring manager and offer constructive feedback on candidates.
    • Maintain a database of qualified candidates and track process efficiency to continually improve recruitment process in conjunction with the Human Resources Manager.
    • Track and report weekly on recruitment metrics.
    • Assist the HR Manager with external recruitment agencies, and senior level recruitments
    • Administer pre-employment screening process, including initiating and reviewing assessment testing, background check, and pre-hire drug screening.
    • Recommend final candidates, extend offers of employment and initiate onboarding process.
    • Ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and best practices related to recruitment, hiring and employment.
    • Assist Human Resources Manager with new employee onboarding.
    • Prepare onboarding kits for new hires.
    • Coordinate with IT and Facilities to set up new employees with computers, workstations, CUG lines and other items.
    • Ensure new hires have technical assistance to properly set up their hardware and software.
    • Coordinate company presentations and product demos.
    • Address new employees’ queries regarding their contracts, benefits or payroll.
    • Send mails informing new and existing employees of policy changes.
    • Performs other tasks as assigned.

    Qualifications

    • BSc/BA in Business Administration or relevant field
    • 3+ years proven experience as an HR Officer
    • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures
    • Good knowledge of employment/labour laws
    • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems (e.g. PeopleSoft) will be a plus
    • Excellent communication and people skills
    • Experience with recruitment, new employee onboarding, and training.
    • Ability to independently administer a program.
    • Desire to work as a team with a results driven approach
    • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
    • Knowledge of organization policies, state and Federal laws related to required education, certifications that may vary by work location, job title or departments

    Special Conditions

    • Employment is contingent on passing a medical screening conducted by the hospital
    • Employee will be subject to various testing including but not limited to drug and medical testing throughout the tenure of their employment
    • Knowledge of workflow processes.
