    Head of Engineering

    Job Description

    • In collaboration with the CEO and Technical Advisor, develop all technical aspects of distinct.ai’s strategy to ensure alignment with business goals
    • Partner with CEO to define product vision, prioritise and realise product roadmap
    • Building out our tech stack and engineering hiring plan and document accordingly. Make sure the documentation is detailed and has back-ups of all stages of the development and design process
    • Managing in-house engineering team and head the integrations of partner API's to our platform
    • Driving performance, efficiency and effectiveness of the engineering and product development team
    • Train & develop the engineering team to increase their expertise and understanding of best development practices
    • Discover and implement new technologies that yield competitive advantage Leading all aspects of the development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, strategic planning, design/architecture, execution, deployment, and maintenance
    • Building quality assurance and data protection processes, ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards Rapidly iterate and test by collecting client feedback Make architecture decisions to ensure a strong, stable, and scalable product
    • Lead all design and technical meetings relating to any of the products/features we plan to release Ensure all internal departments use technology to increase profitability
    • Supervise all system infrastructure to ensure functionality and efficiency Monitor KPIs and IT budgets to assess technological performance
    • Communicate technology strategy to partners and investors

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years of experience leading a dev team + hiring/building a dev team
    • Experience in a fast-growing start-up, working from home, and a distributed workforce
    • Experience with AI/Machine learning and data
    • Customer-centric mindset

    • B2B Sales representative sell products or service directly to other businesses. A B2B sales rep must be able to adapt their approach based on the situation at hand.

    A B2B sales representative typically has a wide range of duties and responsibilities, which can include but not limited to:

    • Negotiating contracts with clients to ensure mutual satisfaction with each transaction.
    • Preparing proposals for new business opportunities or contracts with existing clients
    • Developing and maintaining relationships with clients to increase future business opportunities
    • Scheduling appointments with prospective clients to discuss products or services offered by the company
    • Creating client proposals based on product information provided by marketing staff members
    • Keeping track of all communications with clients, such as emails, phone calls, letters, and faxes
    • Reviewing proposals from clients for possible problems or conflicts with company policies
    • Identifying potential customers through research and networking activities, then contacting them to set up meetings or presentations
    • Managing accounts receivable and payable, including sending billing notices, collecting payments from clients, and submitting payments to vendors for supplies used in projects
    • Researching market trends to identify opportunities for new products or services that might appeal to specific clients

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of BSC/HND 
    • 3-4 years sales personnel with retail or B2B experience.
