    Finance Manager (FinTech)

    Job Location: Ikeja, Lagos

    Job Competency Requirements

    • Ability to set up the company’s accounting system and development of chart of accounts with guidance from the COO
    • Ability to manage the day-to-day accounting function including preparation and analysis of daily/weekly/monthly accounting entries, management accounts, and financial information including commentary.
    • Ability to assist with weekly cash and treasury functions, including revenue assurance and client invoicing, scheduling payments, oversight of debtors and creditor’s position, and reconciliation of bank and cash transactions.
    • Ability to prepare weekly Finance Reports for the Executive Team.
    • Budget preparations, monitoring, and reporting.
    • Ability to perform Capex planning, management, and reporting; maintenance of asset register for the company
    • Ability to conduct Business partnering with teams across the business including Operations, Compliance, and Account Managers.
    • Ability to assist the Management with current and future finance transformation projects.
    • Ability to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements including PAYE returns, VAT returns, corporation, and other tax returns/reporting.
    • Ad-hoc, project-based analytical duties working closely with the COO.

    Requirements

    • BSc./HND in Accounting or Finance with at least 5 years work experience in complex reconciliation(FMCG or financial institution). Strong financial analysis and reporting skills is important
    • Applicant must have passed at least the foundation level of ICAN ( or its equivalents in ACCA/NAN).
    • Good technical accounting knowledge and Payments/FinTech experience are highly desirable.
    • Advanced excel skills (advanced formulas, large data sets, pivot tables, etc), as well as proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suites, are important.

    Job Competency Requirements

    • Ability to develop, interpret and execute a school’s business model, tracking business performance and developing suitable interventions to increase profitability.
    • Ability to manage expenditures, manage forecast processes and manage budget preparations, monitoring, and reporting.
    • Ability to monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the school, such as payroll, invoicing, other transactions. Review financial data and prepare weekly/monthly/ annual P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statement reports for quarterly budget review.
    • Ability to oversee general ledger, revenue recognition, accounts receivables & payables, tax, payroll, and pension administration of the organization.
    • Ability to review, develop and maintain a strong framework of internal controls processes, accounting processes and procedures, and internal payments processes and systems.
    • Ability to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements including PAYE returns, VAT returns, corporation, and other tax returns/reporting.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with the Accounts department staff and other departments that liaise with Accounts and maintain a good relationship with external parties such as banks, tax authorities, service providers, vendors regulators, and other stakeholders and legal counsels.

    Required Qualification

    • BSc. in Accounting or related discipline with a minimum of Five (5) years cognate experience, of which at least three (3) years at a senior management level with proven analytical and qualitative accounting/finance competencies.
    • Professional accounting certification e.g. ACA,  ICAN, or other relevant higher business degree is important.
    • Proven ability to interpret financial statements and apply a broad perspective in summarizing results is required.

    Accountant (Offshore Support Vessel Services)

    Our client in the support and supply vessel services industry located at Lekki is recruiting for the position of an Accountant.

    Job Competency Requirements

    • Ability to manage the company’s accounting and financial records with respect to budgeting, petty cash, cash requests, client invoicing, taxes, documentation for transactions, weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting.
    • Ability to set up financial strategies/models, forecast and track key accounting metrics, prepare, analyze and record vessel operating expenses, crew-related expenses, business transactions and prepare monthly vessel Profit & Loss Account.
    • Ability to liaise with various stakeholders (vendors, customers, management team, statutory officers) on accounting matters, prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
    • Ability to audit financial documents and procedures, prepare general ledger entries, reconcile bank statements, reconcile balance sheet accounts, account clearing (vendor, customer and balance sheet items), verify and resolve discrepancies/open items and compile withholding tax and value added tax, PAYEE, and other statutory payments.
    • Ability to prepare and maintain accounting system, policy and procedures, respond to inquiries received from management, internal and external auditors, perform registration of all new and existing suppliers and manage the supplier payment requests.
    • Ability to prepare and manage fixed asset schedule and perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time that are necessary for service efficiency and to support vessel.

    Qualification Requirements

    • BSc. in accounting with a minimum of 5 years post-NYSC work experience in accounting and adminstrative management. Related Experience in the support and supply vessel services industry is an added advantage.
    • Preferable a Chartered accountant member (ICAN) and Professional certification in Taxation is an added advantage.
    • Proficiency in different accounting software’s is important.
    • Applicant must live around Lekki/Ajah Axis.
