    Central Store Officer

    Job Description

    • The store keepers under the Central Store are attached to pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables in stocking of the items under their custody and disbursement to user departments in the organization.

    (KRA)
    The key result areas of this role are:

    • Stocking, Disbursing and Requisition of Pharmaceutical Drugs, Laboratory Reagents/Vaccines, Medical Consumables.
    • Receiving Items (Pharmacy items, Laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables)
    • Proper documentation of incoming goods receipts and issuance to user departments.
    • Making Requisition of pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables items that has gotten to re-order levels to avoid stock outs.
    • Good arrangement of items on the shelf based on their categories
    • Ensure proper storage and preservation of all pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables both on shelf and refrigerator
    • Organize and Disburse pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables by going through the requisition orders to user departments.
    • Ensure proper documentation of all goods receipts and invoiced both on goods received note {GRN}, INSTA and PMS.
    • Accurate updates of Bin Cards
    • Adherence to re-order levels and re-order quantities of pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables.
    • Alert the store supervisor on increment of items supplied
    • Deliver appropriate pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables supplies in the right quantity to user departments.
    • Tracking of ALL items that are not fully supplied from the vendors.
    • Maintain records by documenting and filing invoices on GRN for audit and user departmental checks, confirmation and signing off.
    • Maintain inventory of ALL ITEMS by checking pharmacy items, laboratory items/Vaccines, Medical Consumables stock to determine inventory level, ensuring First-in-First-Out (FIFO) system is strictly adhered to, anticipating needed requisitions and supplies as the need arises, and removing outdated drugs.
    • Daily spot-checking of ALL items to monitor re-order levels to avoid stock out.
    • Receive and store incoming supplies, verify quantities against invoices, and inform user departments for stock and policy conformity.
    • Monitor expiry date of pharmacy items, laboratory items and Vaccines, Medical Consumables items.

    The Person

    • Minimum Academic qualification of an Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or any related Science Degree.
    • 1 - 3 years and above relevant work experience preferably in the Health or Service sector.
    • Student Membership of relevant professional bodies.
    • Knowledge of the Microsoft office package.
    • Outstanding communication (oral and written), interpersonal and people management skills.

    Medical Officer

    Job Summary

    • This role is responsible for diagnosing, treating and providing preventive health care services to patients in the general population. The job holder may refer patients to specialists when they need further diagnosis or treatment.

    Key Result Areas (KRA)
    The key result areas of this role are:

    • Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination, and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness, disease, or injury
    • Order, perform, and interpret tests and analyze records, reports, and examination information to diagnose patients' condition.
    • Collect, record, and maintain patient information, such as medical history, reports, and examination results.
    • Monitor patients' conditions and progress and reevaluate treatments as necessary.
    • Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments with patients.
    • Advise patients and community members concerning diet, activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
    • Refer patients to medical specialists or other practitioners when necessary.
    • Provide medical support to midwives in the delivery of babies.
    • Execute minor surgical procedures on patients to remove, repair, or improve functioning of diseased or injured body parts and systems.
    • Plan, implement, or administer health programs or standards in hospitals, businesses, or communities for prevention or treatment of injury or illness.
    • Prepare government or organizational reports which include birth, death, and disease statistics, workforce evaluations, or medical status of individuals.
    • To provide quality medical care to patients under the supervision of the HOD, Family Medicine.
    • Adhering to professional and service code of conduct and ethics;
    • To ensure comprehensive, accurate and concise medical records are collected and maintained for patients with an appropriate signed and dated legible entry in the patient’s medical record.
    • Participate in clinical audit and quality programs as appropriate
    • To be "on-call" or participate in shift rosters is a requirement of the position.
    • Manage the administrative requirements of the hospital and patient care including planning and draft budgeting for activities in the hospital.
    • Be aware of and adhere to all Lily Hospital policies and procedure in reference to clinical practice.

    The Person

    • Candidates should possess an MBBS qualification with 1-3 years experience.
    • The job holder must have a license to practice medicine from the Nigerian Medical and Dental Association.
    • Knowledge of general medicine, family care and other specialist areas of medical practice such as Pediatrics & Obstetrics & Gynecology.
    • The job holder must have good communication skills, a strong ability to work well under extreme pressure, self discipline and excellent long term concentration.
