The Sandvine story begins in June 2001 in Waterloo, Ontario; a thriving community and technology hub an hour West of Toronto. In December of 2000, the Sandvine founding team was afforded a unique opportunity with the acquisition of start-up Pixstream and the timing was right. Sandvine opened its doors in the Summer of 2001, and despite grim statistics of start-up failures at the time, adapted to market needs, thanks to a series of industry firsts.
