FMC Birnin Kudu is situated along Kano - Maiduguri road which links the north-western to the north-eastern states and extends up to neighboring countries of Cameroon and Chad. It has a catchment area that includes three states of Jigawa, Kano, Bauchi and Yobe. By virtue of its location along a major highway, it offers emergency and specialist care to road traffic accident victims.
