FMC Birnin Kudu is situated along Kano - Maiduguri road which links the north-western to the north-eastern states and extends up to neighboring countries of Cameroon and Chad. It has a catchment area that includes three states of Jigawa, Kano, Bauchi and Yobe. By virtue of its location along a major highway, it offers emergency and specialist care to road traffic accident victims. Various types of ailments are attended among which infectious and communicable diseases are a major group. FMC Birnin Kudu came into being on 3rd February 2000 MoU was signed between Jigawa State Government and Federal Ministry of Health for General Hospital Birnin Kudu to be the permanent site The 1st Medical Director was appointed in June 2000 The current MD is the 3rd - (We had two previous Acting MDs) This Board of Management is the 5th to be inaugurated
