- About Daniel Ogechi Akujobi Memorial (DOAM) Foundation
Daniel Ogechi Akujobi Memorial (DOAM) Foundation is a charitable, humanitarian, and non-governmental organization established in 2006, in memory of Master Daniel Ogechi Akujobi (1992-2005) who died from injuries he sustained in a fatal vehicle accident on his way back to school along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, Ogun State Nigeria. He was the only son of his parents. DOAM Foundation is a non-racial, non-religious and non-discriminatory charitable organization. We respect and work with all manners of people, no matter where you come from or where you were born.
The Foundation is dedicated to the enhancement of the education, health and empowerment of less-privileged children and youths in our society. Since its establishment, the Foundation has offered scholarship to a number of vulnerable but intelligent children in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions. The Foundation has also executed other life improving programs such as de-worming of children, mentorship, educational, nutritional and psycho-social support to children and youths in the society. The foundation has also conducted skill acquisition training programs for women and provided takeoff grants for their respective trades.
We built and equipped the DOAMF Accident &Trauma Centre located along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, procured an ambulance to support lifesaving activities at the Centre, refurbished eight secondary school libraries, five sickbays, organized free community healthcare programs, among other numerous projects. Over 60,000 lives and counting have been touched by our programs. DOAM Foundation is non-racial, no-religious and a non-discriminatory organization.
