In Nigeria, CHF collaborates with Faith Based Organizations irrespective of the faith and have worked variously with Christians, Muslims and Traditional healers on various projects at different times to increase access to service delivery.
CHF is unique for its focus on developing creative and simple techniques of extending services to those that are least-served such as nomads.
CHF empowers communities to access services in health, food and education by (a) Providing access to information and knowledge about opportunities, (b) Enhancing their capability to organize and effectively access services (c) Developing evidence-based research and sustainable community participation strategy, (d) Midwifing partnership between donor and governance systems with community institutions on equal terms, (e) Strengthening community’s ability to meet its responsibility and take eventual ownership of the service delivery process with minimum dependence on extra-community sources and (f) Enhancing capacity of young people to access the employment market and create employments for others.
