About the Senior Backend Engineer Role

• We are looking to hire an analytical, results-driven Backend Engineer who will work with team members to troubleshoot and improve current backend applications and processes.
• The Backend Engineer will use their understanding of programming languages and tools to analyze current codes and industry developments, formulate more efficient processes, solve problems, and create a more seamless experience for users.
• You should have excellent communication, and project management skills.
• To succeed in this role, you should be focused on building a better, more efficient program and creating a better end-user experience.
• You should be knowledgeable, collaborative, and motivated.

Responsibilities
We are looking for someone who will:

• Develop high-quality software design and architecture.
• Identify, prioritize and execute tasks in the software development life cycle.
• Develop tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code.
• Automate tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
• Review and debug code.
• Perform validation and verification testing.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products.
• Document development phases and monitor systems.
• Ensure software is up-to-date with the latest technologies.
• Ensure we build highly scalable server-side architecture.
• Direct software development projects.
• Produce, test, and debug code.
• Lead engineers and developers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience.
• Knowledge of Nodejs, Javascript, PHP, Typescript and Golang, GCP.
• Knowledge of System design and system architecture.
• Fintech background is a plus (understanding of financial systems, lifecycle of money in a financial system).
• Knowledge of systems and their behaviors at scale.
• Knowledge of security measures for large-scale applications.
