    Sales Executive

    Summary

    The Sales Executive must be high-performing to help the company meet revenue targets, customer acquisition and achieve sales quotas. Must have a deep understanding of the consumer base, create and nurture high performance sales teams; drafting sales plans; and lead them to generate hit revenue forecasts and meet customer needs.
    The Sales Executive shall report directly to the sales Manager and COO.
    Essential Job Functions

    A. Daily Tasks

    • Planning and organizing Sales staff daily work schedule.
    • Focusing sales efforts by studying existing and potential needs of clients.
    • Developing, maintaining, and improving relationships with key accounts.
    • Writing and submitting daily sales reports.
    • Setting sales targets for Sales Executives and Representatives.
    • Keeping up-to-date on current market changes and trends.

    B. Job Roles & Responsibilities

    • Participate in spontaneous sales call rides and planned field days.
    • Helping the sales team to improve their productivity by contacting customers to arrange appointments and ensuring all Sales Representatives have high-quality, up-to-date support material.
    • Handling urgent calls, emails, and messages when sales representatives are unavailable, answering customer queries, informing them of delays, arranging delivery dates, and scheduling marketing events.
    • Coach individual sales representatives one-on-one through phone work and prospecting help sessions to help them improve sales performance.
    • Handling orders by phone, email, or mail and checking the orders have the correct prices, discounts, and product numbers.
    • Inputting orders, ensuring they are processed according to customer requirements, and ensuring all orders are accurate and delivered on time.
    • Collaborating with other departments to ensure sales, marketing, queries, and deliveries are handled efficiently.
    • Developing and maintaining filing systems so as to maintain sales records, prepare reports, and provide financial information to the finance department.
    • Hiring and training sales staff and ensuring staff meets their quotas and goals. Managing budgets for expenses like bonuses, marketing, and travel. Making the company's products and services as attractive to potential customers as possible. Ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and policies.

    C. Sales Strategy

    • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence
    • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team
    • Build strong relationships with the external partners and consumers. Interact regularly with consumers and external partners by attending sales workshops, seminars and hosting events, hosting sales events for the business’s product, playing an active role in industry organizations etc.
    • Utilize analytics tools and works with the analytics team in undertaking detailed analyses of sales performance for the purpose of reporting sales strategy successes, weaknesses, and opportunities to senior sales management
    • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.

    D. Department Management

    • Set weekly, quarterly, monthly, and annual sales targets for the Direct Sales Agents, making sure these targets are realistic and achievable;
    • Monitor and evaluate the performance of teams and sales goals;

    Requirements

    • A bachelor's degree / HND in business administration or a related field.
    • 4 or more years’ experience in sales.
    • Experience in a sales oriented capacity.
    • Good team development and leadership skills.
    • Computer literacy.
    • Good administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication, sales, and customer service skills.
    • The ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines.
    • Current knowledge of industry trends and regulations.
    • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
    • Strong business sense and industry expertise Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills
    • Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sales team
    • Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators (ROI and KPIs)
    • Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
