Key Components of the Manual
The manual must take into account the context and culture of Northeast Nigeria and take lessons learned from other regions. The manual and will cover (please be aware that this list is not exhaustive and will be subject to discussion during the procurement selection stage):

• Peacebuilding Concepts and Processes
• Types of conflict and contextual responses to conflict
• Soft skills needed for conflict resolutions
• Mediation skills targeted at the community stakeholders, women and youth
• Inclusion and restorative justice approaches
• Resolution of ethno-religious conflicts
• Relevant case studies on managing interpersonal conflict
• Existing mechanisms, structures and responses to conflict or need for restitution/reconciliation
• Peace mentorship
• Curriculum on role models
• Mentoring through creative arts

Key Deliverables Includes:

Development of a Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution Manual
The Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution manual should contain the objective of each session, knowledge material on the different topics enriched with practical, contextualized and culturally appropriate examples, outline of the training methodology (which could range from role play scenarios, games, other interactive exercises, possible issues for discussions, experience sharing sessions, prepared with visual aids for an audience that is semi-literate and illiterate. The document should include a trainer’s guide which will be run over a training period of 5 days.
