    Procurement Officer

    Responsibilities

     

    • Order / procure equipment, raw materials and finished goods for the company.
    • Prepare and submit daily update report on all procurement activities
    • Review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
    • Maintain and update a list of suppliers and their qualifications, delivery times, and potential future development
    • Maintain and update contract files for constant reference
    • Maintain a record of periodic price trends with update of key factors driving the trends.
    • Manage and maintain the supplier performance process based on quality and performance assessment.
    • Assist in ensuring active link between internal customers and external suppliers for the purpose of introducing new materials and / or new supply sources.
    • Maintain an activity monitoring schedule that captures the documentation, shipping, clearing processes vs the agreed / approved activity SLAs.
    • Supervise the activities of the local ordering / deliveries.
    • Ensure compliance with foreign importation regulations, requirements/ processes by Customs, NAFDAC, SON etc
    • Count, sort, or weigh incoming articles to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices
    • Examine stock to verify conformance to specifications.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or any related field
    • Minimum of 2 years post NYSC experience
    • Good knowledge of importation process will be an added advantage
    • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts
    • Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
