Medical Laboratory Technician at Sonia Medical Laboratory and Diagnostics

We are seeking a competent, dedicated, and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our laboratory team.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, receive, label, and process patient specimens appropriately.
• Perform routine laboratory investigations under appropriate supervision.
• Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Carry out quality-control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable results.
• Record, document, and report laboratory results accurately.
• Maintain proper laboratory records and inventory.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, infection prevention, and waste-disposal procedures.
• Assist with sample preparation and other laboratory procedures as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
• Work collaboratively with Medical Laboratory Scientists and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards at all times.

Requirements

• Minimum qualification: OND/HND in Medical Laboratory Technician/Technology or relevant qualification.
• Relevant professional registration/licensing where applicable.
• Previous laboratory experience is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and equipment.
• Good communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be reliable, responsible, and attentive to detail.
