    MD's Secretary

    There is a vacancy for the MD's Secretary position in an Investment company in Ikoyi, Lagos.

    The MD’s secretary will provide a variety of secretarial, administrative and office support for the MD. He/she must possess excellent organizational skills and demonstrate excellent written and spoken English, good knowledge of Legal issues and the ability to work unsupervised with a high level of initiative. The role also requires a very high level of confidentiality.

    Responsibilities:

    • Visibility and Advisory on all Family office legal matters (Litigation, Tax Affairs, Real Estate, Trust and Estate Planning and Corporate Affairs)
    • Visibility and Advisory on Managerial matters (Company / Strategic Planning)
    • Taking minutes of meetings and following up on action points. Organizing and preparing agendas and taking minutes for board meetings, committees and general meetings (AGMs).
    • Drafting letters
    • Drafting and reviewing legal documents, including Board resolutions, Company Management Agreement, Intercompany Loan Agreements and any Service Agreements etc.
    • Receiving mails and handling correspondence on behalf of the MD
    • Managing schedules/calendars
    • Organizing meetings
    • Keeping records/organizing files
    • Handling visitors/answering calls
    • Managing travel arrangements for the MD
    • Managing the MD’s office
    • Performs other related duties as assigned

    Education and Skills Required:

    • BSC in a relevant field
    • Law degree/background is highly desirable
    • 1 – 3 years work experience as a confidential secretary or related experience
    • Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
    • Excellent presentation skills
    • Must be computer savvy
    • Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information
    • Intellectually sound and dedicated
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
    • Attention to detail
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
    • Diligent with the ability to bring in fresh ideas
    • Detail oriented
    • Familiarity with, or ability to quickly learn, basic office and clerical procedures and equipment
