Mathematics Teacher (Subject Lead) at Lebanese International School

Job Description

• Lebanese International School Lagos is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Math Teacher to join our faculty as the Head of the Mathematics Department.
• The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching mathematics under both the British Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate (IB) system.
• This position involves teaching mathematics to students from Grades 8 to 12, preparing them for external exams, and leading the mathematics department.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess engaging and challenging math lessons.
• Develop and implement curriculum plans in line with the British Curriculum and IB standards.
• Mentor and support other math teachers in the department.
• Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback and support where needed.
• Organize and participate in departmental meetings and professional development opportunities.
• Communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and students.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Teaching certification or qualification, preferably in the British Curriculum or IB.
• Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience, preferably in an international school setting.
• Strong understanding of the British Curriculum and IB standards.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
