    Marketing Strategist & Business Development Manager

    Job Summary

    • The Marketing Strategist & Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth, market expansion, strategic partnerships, brand positioning, and client acquisition for Safety Consultants & Solutions Providers Ltd (SCSP).
    • The role combines strategic marketing leadership with business development execution to identify opportunities, secure new business, strengthen client relationships, and position SCSP as the preferred Safety Engineering, Fire & Life Safety, Process Safety, HSE, Asset Integrity, and Risk Management consultancy across Africa.
    • The successful candidate will be expected to develop and execute growth strategies that translate directly into increased visibility, qualified leads, proposal opportunities, contract awards, and sustainable revenue growth.

    Key Responsibilities
    Strategic Business Development:

    • Develop and implement business development strategies aligned with SCSP's growth objectives.
    • Identify, pursue, and secure opportunities across key sectors including:
      • Oil & Gas
      • Construction & Real Estate
      • Banking & Financial Services
      • Manufacturing
      • Healthcare
      • Telecommunications
      • Power & Utilities
      • Government & Infrastructure
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, architects, developers, contractors, regulators, and strategic partners.
    • Lead market entry and expansion initiatives into new sectors and geographic markets.
    • Develop strategic partnerships and alliances that enhance SCSP's market presence and capabilities.
    • Maintain a robust pipeline of prospects and business opportunities.

    Sales & Revenue Growth:

    • Drive the achievement of annual sales and revenue targets.
    • Generate and convert qualified leads into business opportunities.
    • Lead client engagement meetings, presentations, negotiations, and commercial discussions.
    • Coordinate and support proposal development, technical submissions, tender responses, and contract negotiations.
    • Develop account management strategies for key clients.
    • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling SCSP services.
    • Track business development activities through a structured CRM system.

    Marketing Strategy & Brand Positioning:

    • Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that support business growth.
    • Position SCSP as a thought leader in:
      • Fire & Life Safety Engineering
      • Technical & Process Safety
      • HSE Management Systems
      • Asset Integrity Management
      • Security Risk Management
      • Emergency Response Planning
      • Safety Audits & Compliance
    • Develop campaigns to increase awareness, visibility, and client engagement.
    • Strengthen SCSP's corporate identity and brand reputation.
    • Manage the company's marketing calendar and promotional activities.

    Digital Marketing & Corporate Communications:

    • Oversee website management and optimization.
    • Develop and manage content including:
      • Technical articles
      • White papers
      • Case studies
      • Newsletters
      • Success stories
      • Client testimonials
    • Manage SCSP's social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns.
    • Coordinate public relations activities, media engagements, and industry publications.
    • Promote participation in conferences, exhibitions, industry forums, and professional events.

    Market Intelligence & Opportunity Identification:

    • Monitor industry trends, regulations, standards, and emerging market opportunities.
    • Conduct competitor analysis and market research.
    • Identify upcoming projects, tenders, and investment opportunities.
    • Develop market intelligence reports to support executive decision-making.

    Stakeholder & Client Relationship Management:

    • Develop long-term relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
    • Maintain engagement with:
      • Architects
      • Developers
      • EPC Contractors
      • Facility Owners
      • Government Agencies
      • Regulatory Authorities
      • Industry Associations
    • Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
    • Represent SCSP at strategic industry engagements and networking events.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
    Revenue & Sales:

    • Annual revenue growth achieved.
    • Value of contracts secured.
    • Number of new clients acquired.
    • Proposal-to-award conversion rate.

    Business Development:

    • Number of qualified opportunities generated.

    Marketing:

    • Website traffic and lead generation performance.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering, Communications, or related discipline.
    • Master's Degree (MBA or related field) is an added advantage.
    • Professional certifications in Marketing, Sales, Business Development, Digital Marketing, Project Management, or Engineering will be an advantage.
    • Minimum of 7 years relevant experience in business development, strategic marketing, sales, consulting, engineering services, HSE, construction, or related industries.
