    Legal File Clerk

    Job Description
    Our client, who is a leading law practice with over 70 years of experience as a full-service law firm, and is looking to hire a  Legal File Clerk.

    DEPARTMENT: Administration & Support

    SUPERVISOR: Practice Manager

    Location: Ilupeju, Lagos


    JOB SUMMARY: A file clerk will be responsible for the complete organization of all the files in a firm. He/she will be responsible for ensuring that the firm has access to all of their case file at any time.
    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • File paperwork in the appropriate area
    • Improve the accuracy of the filing system
    • Retrieve case file when it is requested
    • Input case file into an electronic database
    • Update records with new information
    • Perform regular quality checks on the file system
    • Keep logs of case file that is taken out
    • Ensure that sensitive information is safeguarded
    • Any other duties assigned by the Practice Manager

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • At least a degree in any subject
    • Great attention to detail and incredible patience to file correctly
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to stay organized
    • Knowledge of filing systems
    • Ability to implement new systems into the company
    • Ability to work independently
    • Great time management skills

    Salary: Negotiable

    *Proximity to the location is a key requirement*
