Information Literacy Librarian at American University of Nigeria (AUN)

The Information literacy librarian shall be charged with the responsibility of assisting with information literacy classes while providing needed and up-to-date information to students and faculty alike, as well as other members of the university community. The position shall ensure that patrons receives adequate skill in the use of the resources of the digital services department and e-learning center. The position shall report directly to the Information Literacy Manager.

Requirements for the position:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science, Information Science.
• 1 - 3 years’ professional experience in a digitalized learning resource center or library facility required.
• Ability to map information to valid reference sources.
• Ability to instruct and proven knowledge of varied formats of information sources.
• Must possess good communication skills.
• Must be flexible enough to adapt to changing circumstances at the workplace.
• Must demonstrate a good knowledge of information communication technology in reaching out to faculty and students.
• Must be a team player.
