    Human Resources Generalist

    Job Summary

We are seeking a versatile and detail-oriented HR Generalist to manage end-to-end human resources functions for our Houston operations. This role combines strategic HR management—including US labor law compliance, employee relations, and policy enforcement—with practical operational execution across full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, attendance tracking, and administrative support.

    Key Responsibilities

US Labor Compliance & Policy Management

    • Ensure strict adherence to US Federal (FLSA, FMLA, EEOC, OSHA) and Texas State employment laws and guidelines.
    • Maintain, update, and enforce company policies, employee handbooks, and workplace standards.
    • Oversee employment authorization compliance, including Form I-9 verification and E-Verify processes.

    Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

    • Lead end-to-end recruitment: draft job descriptions, post listings across US job boards, screen resumes, and conduct initial interviews.
    • Coordinate interview schedules with hiring managers and extend formal offer letters.
    • Execute comprehensive onboarding and orientation programs to ensure smooth integration for new hires.

    Employee Relations & Performance Management

    • Act as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, grievances, and conflict resolution.
    • Support managers with performance review cycles, probationary evaluations, and disciplinary procedures.
    • Foster a positive, productive, and compliant workplace culture.

    HR Administration & Attendance Records

    • Maintain accurate, up-to-date physical and digital employee personnel files in compliance with US privacy laws.
    • Track daily employee attendance, paid time off (PTO), sick leave, and rest periods to prepare accurate data for payroll processing.
    • Provide administrative support, draft formal internal notices, and handle HR correspondence.

    Job Requirements

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Experience: 3+ years of progressive HR experience handling both administrative operations and compliance within the United States.

Legal Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of US federal regulations and Texas labor laws.

    Technical & Professional Skills

    • Software: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), Google Workspace, and HRIS/payroll platforms (eg, ADP, BambooHR, or similar).
    • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills; professional tone across all documentation.
    • Detail & Discretion: Demonstrated ability to manage confidential employee records and maintain high accuracy in attendance/payroll reporting.

    Preferred Certifications

    • SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management - Certified Professional) or PHR (Professional in Human Resources) designation is a strong advantage.
