Head of School at a Leading School

My client is sourcing for a Head of School located at a British-Nigerian creche, nursery and primary school in Warewa (Wawa), Arepo at the end of Ojodu-Berger Long bridge.

• Excellent communication, report writing and presentation skills.

• Excellent understanding of government policies in education

• Ability to keep abreast with new developments and best practices in the education sector and other related fields and/or occupation/profession 

• Actively seek to develop oneself professionally and personally

• Competent in the use of computer including use of internet based platforms

Role and Responsibilities

• Supervise all academic related sections and activities of the School, creche/day care programs and Front Desk;

• Initiate and lead the design/development, planning and implementation of curricula in line with government policies and international best practices in collaboration with Head of Administration

• Supervise the development and monitor the quality of delivery of all instructional materials and lesson notess in line with approved curricula by the teaching staff

• Regularly review and evaluate teachers’ delivery methodologies to ensure that they teach according to the educational needs, abilities and achievement of the individual pupil and groups of pupils

• Coordinate the development of new curricula in line with emerging development, government policies and international best practices in the education sector

• Identify appropriate training programs for staff in collaboration with the Head of Administration and ensure that teachers undergo continuing professional development (CPD) programs
