The Federation of Muslim Women’s Association in Nigeria (FOMWAN) is an organization that is dedicated to improving the socio-economic conditions of women and young girls by working with national and international partners to develop sustainable solutions to underlying factors of female gender marginalization, as well as its consequences. FOMWAN was established over thirty-five years ago and since then, has developed into an international organization with presence in all 36 States of Nigeria and the Federal Capital Territory, as well as West African Countries and Western Europe.
As part of its ongoing organizational transformation activities, FOMWAN is strengthening its human capacity and requires a Head of Programmes, at its National Secretariat. The successful candidates will have the following:
First Degree in any Social Sciences subject
· Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
· At least 10 years proven working experience of programme management
· Experience of leading and managing small teams
· Experience of setting up new projects and programmes
· Understanding of and working with monitoring and evaluation frameworks
· NGO, Private and public sector experience
· Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
This individual will lead the implementation of FOMWAN’s transformation strategy, especially the components relating to improving the administrative and operational activities.
