Role Description

• The Head of Product Management is a full-time role responsible for leading the end-to-end product strategy and execution across Union Bank’s offerings. 
• Based in Lagos in a hybrid arrangement, the role combines on-site collaboration with flexibility for some work-from-home activities. 
• Day-to-day responsibilities include defining product vision, prioritizing product roadmaps, and overseeing the product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch optimization. 
• The Head of Product Management will collaborate closely with technology, marketing, operations, and sales teams to ensure products meet customer needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives. 
• This role also involves monitoring product performance, identifying growth opportunities, managing product budgets, and mentoring product managers to build a high-performing product management function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or a related field; a relevant advanced degree or professional certification in product management is an advantage.
• Strong Product Strategy and Product Management skills, including the ability to define vision, set priorities, and align stakeholders.
• Experience in Product Lifecycle Management, from concept and design through launch, ongoing enhancement, and retirement.
• Advanced Analytical Skills for market analysis, customer insights, performance metrics, and data-driven decision-making.
• Proficiency in collaborating with Sales teams to drive product adoption, revenue growth, and customer engagement.
• Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and developing product management talent.
• Background in banking, financial services, or fintech is highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
