    Head Miller

    Job Summary

    • We are looking to hire a skilled and experienced miller to join our team as Head Miller. This position will be responsible to provide technological support services for our West African Customers base.


    • Technological support services for internal and external customers in West Africa.
    • Mill Commissioning of new wheat, maize and sorghum/millets mills, retrofits, and plant upgrades.
    • Evaluate and audit customers mills on a regular basis.
    • Analyze plant audit findings and prepare concise audit reports.
    • Technological sales support for plant concept development and flowsheet design.
    • Conduct customer trainings in mill operations, quality control and efficiency improvement.
    • Travel to potential and existing customers within West Africa to execute technological support services and sales support.
    • Working closely together with Key Account Manager for Milling Solutions.

    Required Qualifications

    • Head Miller qualification (Swiss Milling School, African Milling School or alike).
    • Advanced NABIM qualification or above, HACCP and IPM trained.
    • Relevant academic qualification is a plus (engineering, food technology, etc.).
    • Proven 8 - 10 years record in milling operations (wheat, maize, millets) as Head Miller.
    • Proficiency in English and French is a must. Portuguese language skills are of advantage.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Knowledge of common cereals and milling solutions.
    • Computer literate with a good understanding of MS Office and business management systems inclusive of warehouse management systems.
    • Problem solving abilities to analyze situations objectively and reach logical solutions.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to interface effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
    • Other relevant skills: teamwork, reliability, decision making, ability to build relationships, people management skills, performance and results focused and proven ability to work in a matrix organization.
