    Head, Business Development and Relationship Management

    JOB SUMMARY

    • The principal objective of the role is business strategy development, client relationship management, client acquisition, industry analysis, risk monitoring and mitigation.
    • The role will report to the Chief Operating Officer and will be responsible for:
    •  developing strategies and coordinating the unit’s activities to ensure onboarding of new Participating Financial Institutions and maintaining excellent relationships with existing Participating Financial Institutions.
    • ensuring the improvement of the bank’s market position and achievement of organizational goals.
    • identifying and advising management on issues of corporate significance as it affects the business of the bank.
    • coordinating and supervising the Business Development and Relationship Management staff and the team’s activities.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • A first degree in Economics, Business Administration, Banking and Finance, Accounting or any related discipline. A post graduate degree in a related field is required.
    • A minimum of thirteen (13) to fifteen (15) years’ experience in a financial institution/ development agency with at least six (6) years at a managerial level.
    • Professional membership such as ICAN, CIMA, CPA, CIBN etc.
    • Good understanding of financial procedures and applications. Knowledge of credit administration, operations and management processes.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point)
    • Must be self-motivated, innovative and result - oriented.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Excellent analytical skills with attention to details.
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
