Food & Beverage Manager in the Hospitality Industry

To function as the Business Manager and a Marketing Specialist for the Food & Beverage Department ensuring that various outlets and banquets operate successfully and are individually profitable in accordance with the standard of the hotel. The Manager is also responsible for resolving customer complaints regarding food quality and service and making sure the business complies with health and food safety regulations.

• Manager is generally responsible for all of the business operations of a dining establishment
• Work with the Executive Chef to design attractive menus
• Overseeing of inventory, including food and beverages, supplies and other restaurant equipment.
• Develop a relationship with regular customers
• Ensure that each shop floor meets their monthly target
• Ensure that Food and Drinks are always available.
• Follow food and safety regulations
• Order food supplies for the entire department.
• Ensure that customers are satisfied with food and service
• Assist with marketing events and other functions
• Ensures that company’s and restaurant policies are followed at all times
• Must be able to coordinate and work well with the kitchen department.
• Hire and train new restaurant staff
• Duties typically include interviewing, hiring, training, scheduling and managing employees
• 5+ years of experience in food service
• 3+ years of experience supervising others
• Food safety certification
• Flexible availability including weekends
• Ability to use POS system
