    Finance Manager

    Location: Ikeja, Lagos
    Job Type: Permanent, 100%    
    Start Date: 01.10.2021

    Summary

    • Buhler Group in Lagos, Nigeria is looking for experienced and skilled professional to join their Finance team as Finance Manager. This position manages the financial records and provides the overall financial guidance and support to the company.

      Tasks

    • Provides strategic and operational financial information and advice to the management to aid short and long term decision-making.
    • Oversees financial department employees, including financial assistants and accountants.
    • Contracts outside services for tax preparation, auditing, banking, investments, and other financial needs as necessary.
    • Tracks the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement and seeks out methods for minimizing financial risk to the company.
    • Plans and executes annual budget.
    • Reviews financial data, prepares monthly and annual reports and presents them to the relevant stakeholders.
    • Stays up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.
    • Understands and adheres to financial regulations and legislation to establish and maintain financial policies and procedures for the company.

      Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or relevant field.
    • Certified holder of an accounting qualification preferably ACA, CPA, CFA, ACCA.
    • Master’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is an added advantage.
    • At least 10 years of progressive financial responsibility with at least 3 of those years in a managerial position, preferably in the plant equipment manufacturer industry.
    • Experience with Form M & Form A processes and SONCAP.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in the use of ERP systems (SAP, Sage) along with its right application.
    • Commercial and business knowledge.
    • Good communication skills, including the ability to interface effectively with internal and external shareholders.
    • Sound judgment and good decision-making skills.
    • Ability to work in a matrix organization.
    • Strong entrepreneurial and negotiation skills.
