    Finance Lead

    The Finance Lead will be responsible for producing financial reports and developing strategies based on financial research, guiding senior executives in making sound business decisions in the long and short term, reviewing financial reports, monitoring accounts, and preparing financial forecasts.

    Key responsibilities

    • Prepare audited financial statements and ensure all financial standards are in line with international best practice
    • Ensure timely preparation of monthly management accounts and month end closing process
    • Track the company’s financial status and performance to identify areas for potential improvement
    • Participate in and support the development of strategic plans
    • Manage all tax planning, returns and compliance with required federal, state, local, and international entities as applicable
    • Prepare financial growth plan and monthly forecasting plan based on data analysis and prepare strategic recommendations
    • Serve as liaison to all financial and auditing third parties providing services to company
    • Establish, monitor, and enforce financial policies, procedures and controls to protect assets
    • Track and ensure cash flow is appropriate and sustainable
    • Present financial reports to board members, stakeholders, executives, and clients in formal meetings
    • Create financial reporting processes (daily/ weekly/ monthly/ quarterly/ annual)
    • Provide advisory services to management on various financial transactions
    • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
    • Seek out methods for minimising financial risk to the company
    • Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes

    Key requirements

    • First degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
    • A Master’s degree and/or professional certification will be an added advantage
    • 6+ years of experience in a Finance or Accounting role
    • Superior mathematical skills
    • Knowledge of relevant Accounting Software
    • Good understanding of data privacy standards
    • Ability to work and effectively communicate with senior-level business partners
    • Excellent business judgment, analytical, and decision-making skills
    • Knowledge of financial reporting and data mining tools
    • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
    • Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
