Female Computer Teacher at The Lagoon School

Overview

Our Client, an all-girls private school in Lekki with over 800 pupils in both primary and secondary categories and over 100 employers hereby seeks a highly enthusiastic and creative female computer teacher/instructor to promote theoretically and applied globally up-to-date computer literacy among our pupils/students.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Partner with class teachers to plan and implement lessons that foster pupils/students' progressive acquisition of basic to advanced computer skills following the school's curriculum, goals, objectives, and philosophies.
2. Deliver engaging curriculum through diverse methods of classroom instruction, computer lab activities,  and online learning systems.
3. Create clear, engaging lessons to draw interest and develop pupils’/students’ ability to use desktop computers, palmtops, laptops, joysticks, UPS, flash drives, speakers etc and teach correct hand placement.
4. Design appropriate and specialized lesson plans to teach progra language according to pupils/students according to age group.
5. Deliver clear and effective feedback to improve quality and efficiency of student written computer programs.
6. Set up computers and networking systems and deliver step-by-step instructions on computer assembling (monitor, CPU, Keyboard) & proficient use of related accessories.
7. Emphasize web etiquette and practical application of modern technology.
8. Maintain inventory and upkeep for all devices and computers in the computer lab.

Requirements

1. 3-5 years experience in a high-profiled school or children's learning environment.
2. BSc/HND in Computer Science Education or Computer Engineering from a reputable/accredited institution.
3. Certification in Education from a recognized institution.
4. Proven ability to achieve high success rate with pupils/students in computer literacy.
5. Ability to demonstrate flexibility and support while helping pupils/students gain confidence in their computer skills.
6. Ability to acclimatize pupils/students with no prior exposure to computers.
