    Facilities Manager

    Our client is a Facilities Management company with properties in Lagos, within the Igando/LASU axis. We are looking to hire an experienced Facilities Manager.

     Responsibilities:

    • As the Facilities Manager, you are responsible for preserving the good condition of all facilities; ensuring that they are safe and fully functional to support the day-to-day operations of the company.
    • Conduct proactive maintenance and inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations
    • Supervise the cleaning teams to ensure that all facilities are properly cleaned and in pristine condition at all times
    • Supervise all vendors and contractors and ensure they meet/exceed work expectations
    • Advise on measures to improve the efficiency and cost- effectiveness of the facilities
    • Prepare and implement annual budget for building use and facilities maintenance
    • Maintain accurate records of equipment functioning status and other systems in the building
    • Initiate interventions to detect problems in initial stage and solve problems in facilities
    • Develop and execute system for regular cleaning, repair and maintenance of facilities
    • Oversee the maintenance and installation of all electrical fittings and plumbing fittings
    • Ensure the generators are operational at all times when required
    • Provide energy management solutions; come up with energy saving guidelines that will reduce expense costs, for example, diesel consumption, pressure on generators and where possible introduce alternate energy sources
    • Liaise with the relevant regulatory bodies and utility providers to ensure business activities in all facilities are running
    • Ensure service providers deliver value that is commensurate to pay 
    • Plan for the future by forecasting the facility’s upcoming needs and requirements
    • Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise
    • Perform any other duties as assigned by the CEO.

    Skills & Abilities 

    • Previous experience as a Facilities Manager is ESSENTIAL, please DO NOT apply if you do not meet this criteria.
    • Ability to Manage Artisans and other Janitorial Staff
    • Good communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Excellent problem solving skills
    • Must be a quick thinker with the ability to make sound decisions and multi task
