Chinese Chef at BGE (Nigeria) Solar FZE

BGE (Nigeria) Solar FZE is seeking an experienced and skilled Chinese Chef to oversee authentic meal preparation for our expatriate team and management staff. The ideal candidate will have expertise in traditional Chinese culinary techniques, kitchen management, and strict food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Prepare authentic Chinese meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) for executive staff and expatriate employees daily.
2. Design and rotate weekly menus featuring balanced, high-quality traditional dishes (Sichuan, Cantonese, Hunan, or Northern styles preferred).
3. Oversee food inventory, local and imported ingredient sourcing, and kitchen stock management.
4. Maintain clean, hygienic kitchen conditions and strict food safety compliance.
5. Manage kitchen operations, equipment maintenance, and prep assistants efficiently.

Qualifications & Requirements

1. Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience as a Chinese Chef in a corporate cafeteria, hotel, high-end restaurant, or expat residential facility.
2. Culinary Skills: Mastery of authentic Chinese cooking techniques (stir-frying, braising, steaming, wok control, and seasoning).
3. Knowledge: Deep understanding of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and menu planning.
4. Attributes: Reliable, punctual, hygienic, and able to work well under structured meal schedules.
