Job Summary

• The Chief Financial Officer will direct and oversee the financial activities of the company, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries, ensure compliance with all financial regulatory laws and create forecasts predicting future financial growth.

Job Description

• Oversee the company’s financial activity, including budgeting, reporting, and auditing.
• Continually improves the timeliness and accuracy of the Company’s cash flow and management of the billing and collections process at month end, quarterly and year end closings.
• Quarterly creates a capital plan that aligns with overall business plans and strategies, and reviews the capital plan with Top Management.
• Ensures that processes needed for the financial management system are established, implemented, and maintained.
• Analyzes financial statements, and prepares reports and recommendations to Top Management and the Board of Directors concerning financial performance.
• Ensure legal and regulatory documents are filed and monitor compliance with financial laws and regulations.
• Oversee cash management processes to ensure proper cash availability and best practices in cash management and working capital.
• Substantiate financial transactions by reviewing and auditing all Accounts Payable documents, confirm and append signature on documents.
• Oversee the preparation of all financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, shareholder reports, tax returns, and governmental agencies compliance.
• Optimize the management of bank and deposit relationships and initiates appropriate strategies to enhance the Company’s cash position on a broad overall basis and manage cash flow investment.
• Maintain financial controls by adhering to internal controls, protecting the organizational value, safeguard all company information and keep financial information confidential.
• Ensure development and implementation of a well-tested and verified continuity plan for Finance and ensures that the continuity plan is in force and verified periodically.
• Develop plans for growth to increase the company’s profit while also reducing expenditure.
• Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations.
• Plan, develop, implements and evaluates the Company’s fiscal functions from every relevant perspective.
• Manage treasury, finance, accounting and compliance functions with the necessary processes and internal controls to safeguard the corporate assets.
• Develop reliable global cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs of the Company.
• Review for approval all capital expenditure requests for all facilities, foreign and domestic.
• Prepare and submits all financial statements and reports as required in company policy and as directed.
• Compares sales and profit projections to actual figures and budgeted expenses to actual expenses.
• Providing leadership, supervisory direction and management of the finance and accounting team.
• Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts;
• Complying with all Federal, State and Local financial legal requirements regarding VAT, PAYE and others and ensure remittance of all statutory payments.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business relevant field; MSc / MBA highly required.
• Minimum of 12 years' working experience in the finance role of which 6years must have been in senior management position.
• Professional Accounting qualification such as ICAN, ACCA, CIMA required.
• Proven experience as CFO in a Manufacturing Sector(FMCG) a must have.
• Strong financial and accounting background
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software
• In depth knowledge of corporate financial laws and risk management practices.
• Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods
• Analytical and Problem-solving ability with Attention to detail.
• Excellent management, organizational and supervisory skills.
• Time management skill.
