    Chief Digital & Technology Officer

    Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
    Department: Digital & Technology

    Job Summary

    • The Chief Digital and Technology Officer will drive digital innovation across the organisation and serve as a change agent to all functions within the company.
    • Lead and coordinate the Company’s data and automation efforts to support the company’s business operations in line with the company’s strategy and objectives.

    Organisational Relationships

    • Reports to: MD/CEO
    • Direct Reports: Digital & Automation Lead
    • Internal Relationships:
      • Application Support
      • IT Support/Help Desk
      • Network and Infrastructure Manager
    • External Relationship: Vendors and Suppliers.

    Key Role and Responsibilities

    • Strategy & governance
    • Articulate digital & technology strategy plans and policies for the company in line with the company’s strategy and objectives
    • Establish governance frameworks for IT Project Management, IT Service Management, Enterprise Architecture, Information Security, IT Quality Assurance, and Service Performance Management
    • Determine and implement a company-wide information system plan that promotes and ensures the quality, confidentiality, integrity, availability and security of corporate data and information
    • Prepare and manage annual budgets for the execution of different digital & technology projects
    • Digital, automation & technology
    • Determine the technology needs of the comapny and facilitate the implementation of systems to fulfill the organisation’s information systems requirements
    • Craft and drive digitization strategy and lead the development of organisational digital and automation capability including implementing integrations and API management use cases.
    • Liaise and work with various functions across the business to generate innovative digital solutions for processes, customer experiences, marketing channels and business models
    • Identify new tools- AI, digital, CRM -that can support the achievement of company strategy
    • Oversee the management of business/operational risks through digitization
    • Lead the implementation of core enterprise digital process automation (DPA) capabilities like BPM, RPA, OCR capabilities, etc
    • Coordinate the selection and procurement of IT hardware, identify and act on opportunities to improve and update software and systems
    • Ensure that enterprise applications and services, desktop support and device strategies and implementation meet the needs of users across the organisation
    • Ensure continuous evaluation of user needs and develop plans to bridge identified gaps
    • Oversee the maintenance and development of best practice guidelines for data acquisition both in terms of opt-in/out and how this data is stored and used for sales, marketing, improving business processes and operations, reporting, etc.
    • Network infrastructure, back-up, and security
    • Ensure regular checks to determine the integrity of the companys’ network and data security infrastructure
    • Ensure the continuous connectivity of companys’ network of regional offices, branches, and retail outlets
    • Evaluate technology risks to develop a network disaster recovery plan and backup procedures
    • Generate performance reports of all digital and technology operating systems
    • Ensure optimization of existing IT infrastructure and business applications to extract maximum value.

    • % Improvement in operating costs due to deployment of new technologies/ applications Budget Variance.
    • % Time savings on order processing time
    • Internal customer satisfaction level.
    • % Compliance level with regulators on IT Audits.
    • Compliance with internal and external SLAs
    • Quality of IT service delivery (system availability, stability, reliability, and efficiency)
    • Effectiveness of business continuity planning/ disaster recovery procedures.
    • Effective management of the IT budget.
    • % uptime/availability of IT infrastructure.
    • Time taken to resolve IT infrastructure issues.
    • Responsiveness of user/software maintenance support.

    Job Specification
    Academic Qualification:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
    • Master's Degree preferred.

    Professional Qualification:

    • Membership with relevant professional bodies.

    Experience:

    • Ten - twelve (10 - 12) years’ relevant experience with network infrastructure and ERP application development, implementation and support.
