    Business Solutions Support Specialist (Onsite)

    Our client is looking to hire a Business Solutions Support Specialist who will act as a liaison between the business and IT. This role provides first level support for ALL Business applications deployed and managed by IT. This role will also be involved in all application projects for the company. The Business Solutions Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing technical support and assistance for business software applications and systems used within the organization. They will work closely with end-users to troubleshoot issues, provide training, and ensure the smooth operation of business applications.

    Responsibilities

    • Act as first-line support for all application issues.
    • Document all operational procedures and keep the departmental operating instructions always updated.
    • Maintain a knowledge base of all known application issues.
    • Define and document User Acceptance Test (UAT) case scenarios/ plan for application fixes in liaison with business function and ensure all application changes are change managed.
    • Collates business requirements on application projects.
    • Liaises with other team members to resolve operational issues within agreed SLA.
    • Rolls out and deploys business application builds.
    • Carries out and reports root cause analysis on recurrent issues.
    • Ensures adequate testing for all changes conducted on all applications.
    • Administers documentation and procedures guidelines.

    • Assists in DR simulations and archiving activities.
    • Ensures integrity of data between all Business Applications and LOB Applications
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with end-users and team members.
    • Ability to handle multiple priorities and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Qualifications

    • 2 – 3 years proven experience as a Business Support Specialist preferably in insurance solutions
    • First degree from a reputable university. A Master’s Degree is Advantageous
    • Relevant Professional Certification is Advantageous
    • Knowledge of Advanced SQL, MSSQL, SQL developer
    • Knowledge of Basic Systems Administration
    • Advanced ERP Administration
    • Business analysis and requirements gathering
    • Basic Project Management
    • Advanced Microsoft Office
    • Advanced understanding of systems, integrations, APIs
    • Strong understanding of business systems, processes, and applications.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting software issues and providing effective solutions.
