Job Description

 • The Baker reports to the Business development/ Sales manager in baking and developing bakery products with great taste and quality whilst facilitating the business growth.

• Must be available to start work as soon as possible with accommodation required.
• Salary compensation of 25-50k initially (depending on experience) with possibility of increment.

Requirements

•  Ability to operate a local oven (firewood) is a plus
• Oversee all operations of the bakery production including prepping and packaging of bread
• Be willing to listening and management and be part of the team.
• Self-Starter; must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team
• Must be available to work weekends
•  Be very open to the new methods and recipes
• Be able to take ownership and use your own discretion when needed.
•  Ensuring that the bread is produced correctly in consistent quantities and quality in timely fashion, in order to meet the deadlines of the business.
• Must be able to do delivery if required.
• Meet gross profit margins by means of minimizing wastage.
• Follow the laid down methods and recipes, and ultimately be able to innovate as required.
• Able to inspire his co-workers and have a friendly but firm approach to them.
• Be in charge of notifying, management for the ordering of all the ingredients and maintaining adequate stock levels of the same.
•  Have a thorough knowledge of all the products and processes. Responsible for training production staff who may or may not have any bakery or culinary training.

Qualifications

• Years Of Experience 2-5
• Bakery experience preferred
• An OND qualification is not compulsory.
• Good communication skills
• Culinary experience and or training is a plus.
