    Art History & Conservation Intern

    Start Date: January 2022

    Duration: 6 Months

    Eligibility: Third-Year Undergraduates, Graduate Students, and recent graduates

    Description: Art firm in Lagos seeking an Art History & Art Conservation intern to assist with the documentation, archiving, and storage of historical objects at a site in Lagos, Nigeria. Successful applicants will work under the supervision of a Research Fellow, and be responsible for archiving, documenting, and recording found objects.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Moving, cleaning, photographing and indexing objects

    • Assisting with the creation of a catalog of objects

    • Responding to email/Whatsapp communications in a timely manner

    Skills/Requirements:

    • Background in Art History, History, or a related field

    • Must be physically fit, and able to lift up to 20kg

    • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite

    • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

    • Integrity and working to international research standards

    • Willing to sign Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)
