Accountant at Mani Recruits & Training

Our Client, a high player in the Oil and Gas sector, needs is desirous of filling the position of Accountant in Abuja. 

Responsibilities:

• Take charge of Financial and management activities within the business unit including but not limited to:
• Reporting all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems, ensuring compliance with the company’s.
• Generating reports and analysis from operational financial transactions in line with agreed timelines
• Ensuring regular management of cash book.
• Optimize the handling of banking relationships for staffs Salary Accounts.
• Assuming full responsibility for the preparation of Monthly Income Statements and advice based on indices shown by reports.
• Fully implementing and monitoring ongoing compliance with the expected profitability of all company’s Branches.
• Developing and implementing systems to ensure the collection, reporting, and analysis of monthly operations accounting documents from all brands.
• Reconcile financial statements, while identifying and addressing discrepancies.
• Prepare process invoices and send bank deposits.
• Cross-checking invoices with payments and expenses to ensure accuracy.

Requirements:

Skills:

• Practical and thorough understanding of the principles of Accounting & Financial Management.
• Strong MS Excel Skills.
• Basic Treasury Management skills.
• Strong experience in target setting and forecasting.

General Skills:

• Strong numeracy and analytical skills
• High degree of communication skills, particularly attuned to working well with non-finance professionals
• Good Oral and written Communication skills.

Educational Qualifications/Experience:

• Minimum academic qualification of a university degree or equivalent
• Years of working experience in an Oil and Gas Organisation. 
• Possession of a recognized professional accounting qualification
