    Senior Financial and Investment Analyst

    Job Summary
    Portfolio Management and Fund Administration; Financial Advisory and Transactions Services; Economic and Securities Research; Financial Reporting.

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    • Portfolio Management and Fund Administration;
    • Provide Financial Advisory services to varied clientele;
    • Conduct economic (macro and micro) and investment research, both locally and internationally;
    • Conduct in-depth research and valuations of companies – listed and unlisted including financial statement analysis;
    • Maintain industry/sector information, analysis and data;
    • Develop strategic and tactical views on the financial markets;
    • Preparing feasibility/investment reports on business opportunities (including highlighting key transaction risks) from both a debt and equity funding perspective and to enable Senior Management make investment decisions;
    • Develop and manage proprietary account; and
    • Build and manage relationship with Clients.

    Skills and Personal Abilities:

    • Excellent Analytical Skills and inquisitive with strong desire to learn;
    • Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills;
    • Skilled at multitasking and prioritisation;
    • Adhere to strict ethical standards in the gathering and dissemination of information including the use of such information in investment decision making;
    • Exhibit willingness to study extensively to gather information; desire to constantly and progressively improve knowledge base and a strong propensity for personal development;
    • Excellent numeracy and business writing skills;
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision and take responsibility for quality and accuracy of output;
    • Ability to work under pressure;
    • Ability to develop and work with other members of the team;
    • Excellent and working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; and
    • Entrepreneurial mind-set.

    Minimum Qualification

    • Minimum of a B. Sc in any numeracy related course (i.e. Commercial, Sciences or Engineering) from a reputable university;
    • M.Sc or MBA is an added advantage;
    • A strong and proven interest in Finance, Investments and the business world;
    • Finance related Professional qualifications is required (ACA, ACCA, CFA); at least you must have started;
    • 2-4 years relevant work experience;
    • Prior Big 4 experience is an added advantage; and
    • Not more than 30 years.
