Description

• Champion Safety by providing leadership in the implementation of all safety initiatives.
• Arrange adequate resources to achieve HSE activities.
• Participate in investigations of serious or potentially serious incidents and near-miss investigations.
• Final review of project incident and investigation reports to ensure adequate analysis of root cause(s) and practical recommendation for corrective actions.
• Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions of incident and near-miss reports.
• Review and approve audit findings and close-out reports.
• Ensure that relevant statutory legislation and authority requirements are complied with during the project.
• Involvement and attendance in project HSE meeting.
• Liaise with Project Management Team for project HSE performance, issues and activities.
• Ensure safe loading of vehicles in accordance
• with internationally recognized standards & linepipe loading procedure

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in the Oil and Gas industry, with at least the last 5 years in a similar position.
• Managed multidiscipline teams of diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Computer literate (including sound working knowledge of Micro Soft Word, Excel, Power Point).
• Working knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations, legislation and best practices.
• Strong interpersonal skills, dealing with third party certification bodies and other contractors.
• Ability to train, develop and motivate.
• Computer skills, MS Office Suite.
• Possess strong facilitation skills through all modes of communication.
• Have a strong background in Behavioural Based Safety.
• Have knowledge of both upstream and downstream operations in the oil and gas industry.
