JOB FOCUS: The Tax Manager is responsible for our tax services which include; tax compliance, tax planning, tax audit and defense filing of tax returns. He/she will function as Engagement Manager for client engagement. He is expected to manage a strong relationship with revenue agencies across board.

JOB DESCRIPTION

He or She will be expected to perform all of the following tasks:

• Advise client on tax issues as it relates to their industry
• Liaise with various tax offices on tax compliance and policy issues
• Structuring the affairs of clients to minimize their tax liability
• Interpret tax laws as it applies to clients working environment
• Ensure compliance with statutory obligation at the Federal Inland Revenue Service and State Inland Revenue Service.
• Advice clients on the tax impact on their transactions.
• Accountability for agreed budget(Revenue Generation)
• Build our profile as Tax Consultant in Nigeria and beyond

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Good degree from a reputable Institution
• Must be a qualified member of the Chartered Institute of  Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) however  membership   of   Institute of    Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) is an  added advantage
• Minimum of  six (6) years’ experience as a Tax Consultant in a reputable firm
• Technically strong with solid knowledge and experience in Nigeria Corporate Tax
• Compliance
• Knowledge of International Taxation Laws And Regulations
• Experience in Tax Strategy Implementation, Planning Support And Project Management will be an added advantage

SKILLS AND COMPETENCES

• Must have a clear understanding and application of the Nigeria Tax Laws
• Must understand Tax Compliance issues
• Must be up to date in all areas of the Nigeria Tax Laws
• Interpersonal, written and oral communication skills necessary
• Good analytical and research ability
• Possess good business acumen and highly adaptive
• Mature, proactive, resourceful and hands-on with good initiative
• Ability to work under pressure
