Requirements
Interested candidates should posses the under-listed requirements:

•     Recognised training in Life Support, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and/or Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
•     A post-graduate Fellowship in Emergency Medicine (or a comparable Fellowship) would be an added advantage
•     A minimum of ten years post-qualification experience
•     Experience in running an ambulance service in a busy metropolis would be an added advantage.

Scope of Duty

•     Training and retraining of personnel in pre-hospital and hospital-based management of trauma and medical emergencies,
•     Ensuring the maintenance of an efficient radio-communication network linking the public, LASAMBUS, LASEMS and the Ministry of Health.
•     Maintain the ambulance points, bases, and headquarters in optimal operational condition.
•     Coordinating the deployment, operations and maintenance of ambulances in the fleet.
•     Strengthening and supervision of the Marine Rescue Unit.
•     Institution of pre-hospital care through the Lagos State Ambulance Service (LASAMBUS) to cover all the LGAs and LCDAs in Lagos State.
•     Leading Advocacy within the general public to sensitise the public to issues pertaining to Emergencies and appropriate response.
