Job Description

• In preparation for the opening of a brand new hotel in Ipetu Ijesha, Osun State, we are seeking an experienced Hotel Manager to manage the pre-opening and ongoing hotel operations.

Responsibilities

• Work with the hotel consultants and the hotel's owner to create the pre-opening and first year budget to manage overhead expenses.
• Manage and direct the hotel's soft and hard openings, and oversee the sales and marketing efforts during the opening phases.
• After the hotel’s launch, the hotel manager will be involved in stabilizing the hotel and ensuring that stabilized operations run efficiently and maximize both customer satisfaction and hotel profits.
• Manage and oversee all departments, working closely with department heads on a daily basis.
• Monitor customer satisfaction, through review of standardized feedback forms, and just as importantly by spending time directly with the guests and ensuring their needs are being met and expectations exceeded.
• Maximize room yield and hotel revenue through innovative sales practices and yield management programs.
• Develop recruitment and training strategy including strategic talent management.
• Create a positive work environment in line with owner's values, vision and mission to produce a dynamic, driven, motivated and results-orientated workforce.
• Manage property resources and risks.
• Develop and maintain a capable and cohesive management team through effective leadership and mentoring.

Skills & Experience

• 5-10 years experience as a Hotel Manager including experience with pre-opening operations.
• Strong business and financial acumen with extensive experience managing budgets and P&L’s, forecasting and managing pre-opening and marketing budgets.
• Outstanding leadership skills with experience managing teams.
• On offer for the successful candidate is relocation package (if candidate is not a resident in Osun State). Only candidates meeting all the above criteria will be considered.
