    Sales/Marketing Engineer

    Job Description/Requirements

    • HND/Degree in Mechanical/Instrumentation/Chemical/Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering/IT.
    • Applicants must be ready to combine Sales and marketing functions with his core engineering duties while ensuring the following:
      • Searching for new clients who could benefit from our products & services in designated regions.
      • Establishing new, and maintaining existing relationships with customers.
      • Managing and interpreting customer requirements.
      • Persuading clients that a product or service will best satisfy their needs.
      • Calculating client quotations.
      • Negotiating tender and contract terms
      • Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing on terms and conditions.
      • Offering after-sales support services
      • Administering client accounts
      • Analysing costs and sales
      • Preparing routine reports for the Director of Operations, and the MD whenever the need arise.
      • Meeting regular sales targets
      • Recording and maintaining client contact data.
      • Co-ordinating sales projects
      • Supporting marketing by attending trade shows, conferences and other marketing events that are relevant to the company's operations
      • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how the companies' products & services will meet client needs.
      • Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education.
      • Liaising with other members of the sales team and other technical experts in solving client problems.
      • Helping in the design of custom-made products & services.
      • Providing training and producing support material for the sales team whenever the need arise.

    Additional Skills Required:

    • Must be able to work independently within the assigned account of automation/instrumentation  business, provide sales forecast and achieve/exceed bookings, sales and profitability targets set for the Business Unit.Must also be able to tap on prospects, analyze requirements to develop winning strategies and negotiate to win the business profitability.
    • Maintain excellent account management skills and build strong relationships with external customers and internal team members.
    • PS: Since the company is aimed at achieving  realistic results within a specified period ,applicant must be ready to achieve the set target to retain the position.
