SOLAR Technical Project Manager / Site Manager at Spencer Ogden Oil & Gas

Core competencies:

• Project management for the entire process - from initial planning up to construction, commissioning, and handover
• Preparation of the technical system design, part lists and system documentation
• Independent selection of equipment, suppliers and subcontractors, including the tendering of scope of works
• Cooperation, negotiation, and joint problem solving with local and international suppliers, clients and partners
• Implementation of requirements
• Working on tenders and development of technical project presentations
• Site inspection and evaluation of ground mount, rooftop and carport projects
• On-site coordination, management and reporting
• Monitoring the completion of the PV projects until commissioning
• Workforce management

Qualifications:

• Electrical Engineering degree or electrical engineering training as an electric installer, foreman, technician or electrician
• Extensive project management experience in the PV field
• Good knowledge of CAD (Autocad, Civil3D)
• Good knowledge of MS Office applications
• Good knowledge of PV-SYST and electrical design software (Caddy, E-Plan or similar software)

Requirements:

• Fluent in spoken and written English (German is a plus)
• Excellent team work and communication skills
• Proactive and independent - ability to take individual responsibility for work
• Must be willing to travel / long-term stays, particularly in Nigeria
